The big seven with Wally.
Maxwell Lord, OMACs and Talia were the villains. The plot was basically the Omac Project storyline mixed with Tower of Babel.

I can imagine Batman's paranoia and obsession with control and surveillance would have been a big focus as both those comic arcs deal with this heavily.

Not really the big 7. It had John instead of Hal.

I have to say, the plot that made it a part of Superman Returns and Batman Begins was pretty awesome. It could be very confusing to non comic book readers but to me, even by reading the sum of the plot, i got chills. The story is quite good although i do agree it would damage The Dark Knight quite a lot.

The casting isn't bad either.

I don't mind it either. I wonder why they couldn't have just toned it down to more PG-13ish and went ahead and made it.

They should have set it after TDK and included Routh and Bale, then it would have had a good chance for success, instead they wanted DJ Cotrona as Superman and Armie Hammer as Batman.

From articles I read on it, I was intrigued. Glad We had a fairly large part.

And I'm still shocked we have not seen any concept art from it yet.

There was that one piece of concept art with Wonder Woman flying home.

Nolan and Bale did not want their Batman in this film...which is why they recast batman.

I liked the script and thought it would have made an interesting movie...the thing about read scripts is that dialogue that reads silly sounds good out loud and sometimes dialogue that reads good sounds silly out loud. This is why most productions do table reads.

There are pictures from the video game that would've come out in conjunction with JLM. I don't think they really reflected how the characters would look themselves since Superman and Batman looked different from what's been said before.

Just read the script.

I wouldn't exactly call it a dodged bullet. More like a potentially lethal jam in any attempt to make a serious DC Cinematic Universe. It has all the hallmarks of a failure on a level similar to Green Lantern and Wolverine: Origins.

The inferred background for all these heroes meeting each other is much more interesting than the story itself, and while the main conflict might be adequate for an okay sequel idea, it falls apart if the greatest superhero team of all time spends half their time weakened and on the run from some d-list villain like Maxwell Lord, and the other half either split up or fighting each other.

Aquaman has some lines and characterization meant to make fun of the cynical perception of him, but he immediately becomes weak and feeble when hit with fear toxin, and the only real showcase of his powers is pretty much right out of Superfriends. Most of the team is underdeveloped (thus making a good argument for a Proto-Justice League film like Batman vs Superman) and while the Flash is engaging, he feels like a missed opportunity thanks to his quick death and overly-aware manner and commentary.

And the villains are sad. Maxwell Lord should never be considered a big time villain; his only claim to the title is his botched evil plan caused by editorially mandated decisions and intentionally serving up of Blue Beetle to be killed at his hand. He's an annoyingly arrogant idiot who's function would be served better by almost all other League villains. And Talia...you will probably find yourself appreciating her appearance in TDKR much better after this. She's an ineffective and stereotypical femme fatale who dies because the plot requires such.

All in all, I'm really glad they won't make this.

Documentary being planned on George Miller's unmade Justice League film.

http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/371...l-doco-planned

"George Miller's ill-fated Justice League is a film that has gained an almost cult like following among movie buffs and comic book diehards as the legend around the production has grown over the years.

There has always been an interest in this story and now seems like the best time to try and tell it from the perspective of people who tried to bring that fantastical vision to the big screen.

It's a tale that's driven by the fans and their love of this concept from DC Comics, so it's a natural progression to get the fans involved in the documentary as well when we throw it out there as a Kickstarter in the next few weeks."

I find it hilarious there's this buzz about the Mortal project. So many people back then were bashing it to the core of the earth, criticism over criticism. Then it got cancelled, and people were so glad that it didn't get made saying it would have been garbage. Now, George Miller puts out Fury Road, everyone including critics love it now people want to see JL Mortal and say "oh,it wouldn't have been bad." What a bunch of BS. You guys are ridiculous.

Superman Lives sounded like a piece of **** to me, but I still paid for that doc. Nic Cage as Superman? I want that disaster. I gave Fury Road a 10/10, I read his JL Mortal and it was ****. DO I still want to see behind the scenes? You bet yo ass.

C'mon Tim Burton's Superman wouldn't have been a disaster! Unless this producer would have meddled the project with his spider fetish:
