I don't think he's ever said that. Webb has said many times that he loves the Gwen Stacy saga and the relationship between the two before Peter meets Mary Jane, but I don't think he's ever said he wasn't interested in the character of MJ.

Good. It only furthers my point.

Also, he has been talking a lot about how he is interested in the Gwen Stacy story arc. I REALLY want him to bring that story arc to life on screen. I think he could do a phenomenal job. As many have already said, I think it would be one of the most emotional scenes to hit the silver screen in a long time.

I just think the audience needs to grow attached to the Gwen Stacy character and by doing this, two films play an integral role in that. Then, they get their heart strings ripped out. A lot of fans have been posting synopsis's where they want the story arc to transpire into two films. They want Green Goblin to kill her in the second film and then have Spidey get his revenge in the third film.

Again, it's about character development. I think we should get an nice introduction/demonstration of how corrupt Osborn is in the second film and THEN get his Green Goblin in the third.

That's how I would do it at least.
I agree with all this, the only problem being that if it's set out like a trilogy, then we will definately see her death in the 2nd film, not in the third. However i wouldn't mind if the third film started off exactly where the 2nd left off. just an idea i had lol.

that new lizard pic is....meh his head looks almost photoshopped on....and it doesnt look menacing really. I'm also a bit peeved they released that as its obviously where he walks past Gwen in the trailer....i would have liked to see that in the movie...as a surprise (unlike now where i know he finds her) .but anyway.

Someone on CBM said that the Lizard looks like a SYFY movie villain and I first I thought he was insane, but the more I look at it, the more I'm seeing what he's saying. Something about that picture seems...weird. I dunno what it is, but it's feeling more and more SYFY (the channel, not the genre) with each viewing. I think I'm gonna stop looking at it.

I am guessing the Lizard is smiling because he just found Gwen hiding.
