The aliens (or "inter-dimensional beings") fit within the Indy lore. When I think of Indiana Jones, I think of cheaply-produced serials, and when I think of cheaply-produced serials, I think of flying saucers and aliens.

If anyone thinks what I've said is a criticism of IJ, they are wrong. Spielberg and Lucas had this in mind when they created the character.

But yes, the monkeys were incredibly freaking stupid.

Even though I really like IJ4, I have massive problems with everything after the waterfall drop(s). Nobody did anything and the Skull was used as a solution for every single thing. Talk about lazy. Everything up till then was good to great, imo. And I did love the finale/wedding.

My issue with Indy 4 has to do with Mac. I just think he switched sides too often (and started too soon before i even cared about him), and i just never really clicked with him.

Yeah, Mac was a weird character. Gianakin, the movie went downhill for me too after the waterfall scene. The Wedding redeemed it though. Love that moment where Mutt picks up the hat.

Yes, he was problematic, too. He was like Benny from The Mummy, only the latter was better written (unthinkable that Sommers movie can achieve that over a Spielberg/Lucas one). It's one of the 2 things the Darabont script got better.

Indeed, I found the wedding scene to be gold. Ditto for everything that featured Karen Allen. She and Mutt needed more to do, especially in the 3rd act. Well... that goes for everyone, really.

I wish there would've been cameos from Sallah & Short Round in the wedding scene, would've made it even better.

In two years from now, we'll all be sat in the theater watching Star Wars Episode VII!

I-II-III-IV-V-VI.

Yeah, I'm watching them again. It's been a while. I saw A New Hope a few months ago, but aside from that, it's been like 7 years.

I was kinda hoping to see Short Round in KOTCS. Hopefully they put him in for a small cameo in the upcoming movie.

I agree. (1) A New Hope, (2) Empire, and (3) Return of the Jedi.

Oh, yeah. Forgot to post it here. I'm done with my Star Wars marathon. 1 and 2 suck, 3 is pretty good, 4,5,6, are great.
