So is Coulson sick or something which is the reason he chose to take on the Ghost Rider power from Robbie? They made it sound like there was something wrong when they were talking there between them at the end.

I don't THINK he's sick. Maybe it's something to do with the Kree blood in him?
The only thing I can think of is maybe he made a deal to get a set of the LMD running to keep the real Shield safe

I'd say AIDA was the best part of the season. Having GR back suddenly felt like a throwback to the early part of the season which wasn't as good as the second and third arcs. And this finale wasn't quite as good as the previous episodes.

^ I'd disagree. I'd rank them Arc 3, Arc 1, Arc 2.

Well, the first two episodes are filmed in IMAX and designed to be viewed that way.

I'd say Arc 3, Arc 2, Arc 1.

The early part of Arc 1 felt like a holdover in quality from the previous season and hadn't quite hit its stride yet.

FYI, I hope they continue the 3 Arcs per season tool they used this year.

I feel like most super hero shows should follow this format.

Man I hate being on business trips. Didn't get to watch until last night. What an ending. A few observations. I don't think Talbot was a LMD, but I do think his assistant was. It was relatively clear she was pushing the agenda that Aida wanted.

I agree with others that next season they need to find something other to do than pick apart Fitz and Simmons. Hell, screw with Mack and Yo-Yo for a season or 2. I am re-watching to see what I missed and try to make heads or tails with the ending. I don't think Coulson is captured by Mephisto. I do think they are doing S.W.O.R.D. for season 5 and that's what it was. We may see references dropped in Thor in November, possibly them tracking his arrival on Earth trying to find Odin.

I was surprised and disappointed that Vijaay didn't turn up. Pretty much a total waste of him in S4.

That whole Inhumans storyline in the first arc seemed a little wasted and didn't quite go anywhere. That's why I've said that the first arc seems like a holdover from last season. It almost feels like it belongs to last season.

It could be SWORD. If one of the actresses in the Inhumans is going to be Abigail Brand, then perhaps it could tie into that. We don't know who Ellen Woglum is playing yet.

As far as I'm aware there are rights issues with SWORD, since they're mostly tied to X-Men or something.

But for the end of this episode, what exactly happened?

Was the team in the diner the real team who were somehow paralyzed/stiffened or put in temporal stasis and taken away? Were they an LMD distraction and did the other group see through this and use an EMP?
When Coulson woke up in space at the end, was the rest of the team also there? Or is it only him and is it related to his deal with Ghost Rider? Was he brought there by whoever came into the diner or is it unrelated?

I really think they're going with a SWORD storyline.

I'm not sure if SWORD is part of the X-Men Property, or if it's just Marvel proper. Wolverine was introduced in a Hulk comic, but he's still part of the X-Men rights.

Plus with Joss Whedon being co-creator with Cassaday, I wouldn't be surprised if Whedon being producer of the show gives some leverage towards the property.

Season 5 might be an tie in to Spider-Man Homecoming, and the goons that captured the team could be working for the Vulture, because it is too early to do an Infinity War tie in, since the movie doesn't come out till next year.

Homecoming will be long gone by the time AOS season 5 rolls around.

However they tie in, hopefully it's not with lame puns like they did with Civil War.

have seen it said that part of the spiderman deal is 'no' interaction with the Tv properties.

if that just means no appearance which would be unlikely anyway or no reference i don't know.

Two films down the line after spiderman thor and infinity war has a space and aliens backdrop.

I haven't seen that either. That being said, it's even more of an uphill climb since you need Sony to play ball.

ABC didn't confirm their schedule though, we don't know if Marvel's Inhumans would be like Agent Carter or if Season 5 will air alongside it with Inhumans at 9:00 p.m. and Agents of SHIELD at 10:00 p.m.

What? Homecoming comes out this July. AoS won't be back until midseason, probably, like 6 months after that. That means it will run until well after the release of Infinity War in May 2018.

I suspect Agents of SHIELD will start a little earlier than people are expecting. As a practical matter, it isn't likely to continue into June. I also wouldn't be surprised if episodes 21 and 22 are a two hour finale. Who knows? 1 and 2 could be a two hour premiere.

I would love the show to start around the time of Ragnarok. Unfortunately, it'll start, at best, about three weeks later. And yes, a film released July 7 will be out five months by the time the show airs so there won't be any real tie-in.

But they equally didn't confirm AOS to come back in July 2017, which it would need to in order to tie in with Homecoming.

Um, where hasn't ABC confirmed their schedule? They released their fall schedule on Tuesday. It shows Inhumans will kick off the fall season in the middle time slot (9pm/8pm depending on where you live)... AOS will not air in the 3rd slot, 20/20 has that slot. Entertainment Weekly confirmed that AOS would start airing after Inhumans finished it's 8 episode run and it would take over that middle time slot.

Also, we have this: Mark Kolpack who works on Agents of SHIELD:

Nothing to tease. We're back in Jan 2018
(which makes some sense... if Inhumans runs 1 episode a week, then if AOS started immediately after that would put it airing around the time of Thanksgiving, which they won't do. It makes more sense to wait for the holidays to be over and (hopefully) run the episodes with very few (if any) breaks)
