Also, if we're using spoiler tags for book spoilers, should we be using them for set photos?

I'm hardly going to complain about McAvoy's involvement, but the more pictures I see of young Bill on set, the more I see Tobey Maguire in him.

I disagree.

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
His suicide as an adult shows how much of a psychological horror the experience had on them as kids. He decides to die by his own hand as opposed to confronting Pennywise again. The fact that he kills himself as an adult gives greater fear for the others to go and confront Pennywise again. That they aren't as strong as they were as kids. They might actually be weaker.

It also shows how you can't just run away from your past because it will stay with you and unless you confront it, you'll never be able to live with yourself.
I agree with all that. I just think that what seeing Stan survive what happened to him in the first one makes Pennywise seem a lot less threatening.

(P.S. She wanted Amy Schemer)

Hadn't heard about that. God, Grace is a ****ing idiot.

Hmmm I expected McAvoy to be bald, that’s fine he still looks good. They all look good. It’s gonna be quite a tug on the heart strings to see the gang reunite.

Looking at some of the old Adult Losers Club fancasts on Tumblr, and it's absolutely wild to see Amy Adams and Joaquin Phoenix (both 44) in the same cast as Lakeith Stanfield (27).

I think Maguire would have been a more natural fit, both looks and personality//voice/mannerisms/wise-.

I agree that Maguire looks like a grown-up Jaeden Lieberher, but considering how much of an a-hole he is in real life, I'm glad he didn't get the part.

I would be interested in Pennywise attacking the Pussy Posse of the 90s (Tobey Maguire, Leo DiCaprio, Kevin Connolly, Lukas Haas) and now they all get back together to fight him 20 years later.

That's really irrelevant though.

It is, but it's really just me taking personal satisfaction that he's not getting nearly as many high profile roles as he used to after some light was shed on his douchiness.

Yeah, I wonder if his apparent *******ry is why he just seemed to vanish other than when his buddy Leo got him Gatsby. I actually think Maguire is a very good actor with what he does (including as Spider-Man, though I prefer Holland's). But after finding out what Molly's Game had to say about him... I'm not exactly feeling bad about his lack of opportunities either.

Would be weird to see Maguire and Chastain in the same film.

At any rate, McAvoy is an incredible actor and I'm glad he snagged the role.

Only would've worked if Mike had been one of the teachers the Losers had in '89.
