Default Christmas 2017

Since Christmas is going to be coming up soon...well less than a few weeks away from Christmas, I wonder what everyone's plans will be for this year? What kind of Christmas traditions does your family have?

Xmas dinner at parent's house with them, sister, bro in law and niece.

Can't wait! Get hungry just thinking about it.

Gather together - argue for 3 consecutive days - watch the queen - eat - fall asleep - argue - play monopoly - argue - depart.

We're still trying to figure out where the tree is going to go. We gave two large dog crates where it usually goes. My house aint that big.

I know how that goes and once you guys do figure out where your tree will go then I wonder if you are going to have Christmas with one side of your family or the other side

Better bring your A game for the monopoly. Winning that is what it's all about.

Its a DC version so nobody else in the family knows who the f anyone is or the values so yep, it's a Jim clear up.

'Yes that's right Mum, Batgirl is worth that much with a house on, pay up or there's no pudding for you'.

However, truth be told, you won't find anyone in the world who is less competitive than me, the phrase 'Its the taking part that counts', was built for me.

- My traditions:

- Christmas Eve (Dec 24th)- every year we end up at my grandmother's house well not just me but all my aunts, uncles, cousins and my immediate family well on my dad's side...usually spend it with them since my parents are divorced

- Christmas Day (Dec 25th)- spend it with my mother, grandmother, sister and brother for the first half and then the 2nd half my siblings and I end up at my uncle's house (my dad's brother) well my dad's side of the family usually all ends up there

- Boxing Day (Dec 26th)- spend it at my other uncle's house

- New Year's Eve (Dec 31st)- well the tradition changes every year because we always alternate between houses so I don't know whose house I am going to end up at this year

I will be fruitlessly hoping that **** doesn't get wrecked like nearly every single Xmas since I was a kid. Very low hopes that it'll go smoothly and high expectations that it'll be ruined yet again.

I'm 33 and I've had maybe four or five good xmas's. Last year I had to put my dog down due to bone cancer. Let's see what this xmas brings. I have a new dog!

****.

I won't be up to much. Might give the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy a go just cause, but no other plans popped into my head. It is one of my paid holidays, so there's that.

'I will eat mum on Christmas day': Grieving daughter to sprinkle mother's ashes on turkey

Quote:
Grieving Debra Parsons will have her mum Doreen for Christmas dinner this year – by scattering her ashes on the turkey then tucking in.

And for dessert she’ll enjoy Christmas Pud...with a dusting of her mum’s last remains too.

Debra, 41, has felt the urge to EAT Doreen’s ashes since she died in May and has had a small
spoonful most days to feel “as close as possible” to her.

But as she faces Christmas without her, the craving has become even stronger.

“It is the only thing that will get me through my first Christmas without mum,” said Debra.

I'll be going to my sisters for brunch per usual. I originally thought I had to work Christmas day. My dad asked if they were paying triple time.
