I liked the new title sequence. Very subtle reintroduction of the giant face. Lord knows you don't want to put Matt's foot face up in the old style every week.

I like Clara but I hope the 2000 version is a bit more toned down. She still comes across as a bit of a River Song characterization. I know the companions need to independent and "feisty" but making out with the Doctor all randomly. No.

Why didn't the Doctor remember the Great Intelligence? I am intrigued and hopefully the shortened 7 ep season means we will get answers that aren't drawn out like the crack in Amy's wall.

The "one word" sequence was really tense and cool.

LOL. I don't have a problem with his face but I do think that having such it appear in such a way that the faces did in classic who intros would've been too "in your face". The subtlety was very nice.

Overall, I love the new intro. I really like the move to a more a more techno sounding theme in the vein of the classic who themes.

Making out with the Doctor is what all the female companions do in modern Who. Well, except Donna and Martha. Poor Martha .

It does seem like Clara will be a love interest of sorts though so, I guess that makes it okay in the grand scheme of things.

I would venture say that it's just because it's been so long since he's encountered the Great Intelligence. The last time he encountered it was in his 2nd incarnation.

I thought the ep was rather boring and had no heart like the Xmas eps usually have besides every scene with Clara. She is so damn cute and just eats up the screen. She even outshined the Doctor the entire ep...whether that was intentional or accidental idk.

I loved the episode, definitely not necessarily Christmas-y but taking place at Christmas time. I really liked Clara and cant wait to see more of her! Smaller on the outside...awesome. I liked having Snowmen as a villain, only Doctor Who can make something so unique and kinda cool.

The intro and TARDIS were surprisingly fantastic, I look forward to hearing it every new episode.

I know 11 in particular only seems to be intrigued by women with a mystery surrounding them(Amy's Crack, River's Identity,Clara's resurrection) so that doesn't bother me.

But from the other direction, it's kind of sameness. Amy was basically the Madam e Pompadour character taken to an on-going arc. And now Clara feels like River just not prone to violence.

Amy did get a certain level of growth/maturity through her interactions with the Doctor which I liked, so I hope he has Clara grow, too instead of it just being a wait for her "A Good Man Goes to War" to reveal her mysterious past.

Even Martha and Donna got theirs. The Doctor kissed Martha in her first episode so the Judoon would scan her and find alien DNA. Donna kissed him in "The Unicorn and Wasp" to give his system a shock so he could fight off some poison.

Since the New Series started, the Doctor has kissed all of his companions except Mickey. Jack kissed Nine goodbye in "The Parting of the Ways." Nine kissed Rose to absorb the TARDIS energy out of her. Lady Cassandra kissed Ten while in Rose's body. Ten kissed Martha. Donna kissed Ten. Amy kissed Eleven. River kissed Eleven. Eleven kissed Rory. Rory kissed Eleven. Clara kissed Eleven.

It seemed like he had some suspicion, but does his typical wait and see.

So basically the Doctor realized regenerating into old men wasn't getting him any so he started getting younger. Mystery solved.

The fifth doctor probably would have gotten some if he wasn't wearing a piece of celery.

He had to wear the celery so he could get stuff done

Who says the 5th Doctor wasn't getting any? Tegan must've stayed with him on the TARDIS for some reason, and that sure as hell wasn't for the adventuring.

The Christmas episode was a good episode, but not a good special. It didn't really have anything to do with Christmas like the past years have.

Hence the need for the celery.

At some point, you've gotta take a break and actually pilot the Tardis.

Second Dr, Three Doctors, in the TARDIS.

I think it's good that it didn't really have anything to do with Christmas. A lot of things get tied up with having to tie in with Christmas and make it a big thing and it's goot to just have something take place around the time.

Anyhow, REG was utterly wasted in that. You'd have thought that being a big name he'd have had more to do than look evil and wear a hat. The Snowmen were cool but I had hoped for a bit more armyness about them. You know like in the alley. But they just kinda stood outside that house.

I notice that Tony Lee is on twitter talking about Dr/Strax as Holmes/Watson comic he has ideas for. I think that would be fantastic. Hell I just want more of them together, so brilliant.

I just realized the snow was voice by Ian McKellan. I thought those haunting, dulcet tones sounded familiar.

Solid episode, good set-up for the new companion. Jenna-Louise looked gorgeous in those dresses. I knew it wouldn't be practical enough to keep as her permanent look, but it's a shame because they suit her.

Finally got a chance to see the Christmas Special.

I loved it. Much better than last year for me. Killer snowmen are always fun and killer snowflakes are even better. The way they turned the Doctor into his own regretful Scrooge after the "deaths" and loss of Amy and Rory was great. I also liked how Clara helped get him out of his shell. The romantic chemistry between them is surprisingly blunt and intriguing, though they may use her "death" as a loophole out of pushing that further.

I actually was disappointed by that. I liked Clara's Victorian look and hate that we're starting over with this character for a third time. Oh well.

I think so. I will miss 11's Tardis from the last two seasons. It was just so homey to me.
