I also like the transparent ones you made with his eyes being visible behind the lenses, though they are a bit too big for my liking.
Thanks! I was very hesitant, also very resistant to the idea of making them smaller. I was sure it wouldn't work and give him a huge forehead. Boy was I wrong. It surprisingly works with that cowl. Obviously they would have to CGI it if they ever go this route.

I really think if they can make the Kryptonian armor from MoS with CGI, then I have no doubt they could make very realistic Jim Lee eyes for the cowl. I would absolutely love it if when we get the BvS BlueRay, we see a featurette showing them experimenting with the white eyes! That would be great

The Jim Lee art people have been posting is great.

Far more illustrative, to me, is that you'd be hard pressed to post comic book artwork of Batman *without* the lenses. The panels just aren't there - I mean, it's been done, but rarely. And it looks ultra goofy (imho) when you can see his human eyes in comic form.

Given that the CGI technique exists, and that they obviously cared enough to give the white eyes to his robot suit, I just don't know why they didn't give it a shot.
I think it's the fear of looking too goofy or breaking with tradition. Though I will say this, I like the glow from the robo-eyes, and can't wait to see more of it in live action.

They do look good with that cowl. It's a real shame they didn't went for it. Especially since Snyder doesn't exactly shy away from CGI.

Hey, does anyone do digital drawings? If so, can anyone recommend a good, lower end stylus/pad for the computer?

I haven't really done one with a stylus but just wanted to suggest something. If you have an iPad or tablet, get yourself the stylus by the company that makes the app "Paper". It's around 70$ but is pressure sensitive, the back acts like an eraser. Using it with compatible apps allows you to have palm rejection too. Just figured I'd give you an idea.

I'll probably make two more that don't all blend together.

Awesome work dude. That's much better than I could do. Definitely setting that as my background at the office now !

Can you make a desktop background with the Superman crest too? Thanks! (I have a duel screen setup and want one for each)
