I wouldn't say I've been wounded deeply. I wrote that post and forgot about it, and didn't even quote you as I wasn't specifically attacking you - I didn't particularly care enough to see if all the whining was even coming from the same person -but was more making an observation about how familiarity breeds contempt with just about ANYTHING, no matter how universally adored it seems to be. You're the one that seems to be giving yourself a brain aneurysm with your outrage, frantically editing your posts so you can attempt to add more Sick Burns that didn't at first come to you in your rush to get back at me.

Again, feel free to express your views, however quaint and eccentric they may be. But as a friendly piece of advice: if disagreement causes you this much distress, it might be best not to post opinions that go against majority opinion on a message board, as disagreement is kinda the lifeblood of such forums.

At least grow a backbone and stand behind what you said instead of slinking away after someone calls you on it. THAT'S what's eye-roll worthy.

Calm down. Breathe. It's just a message board.

Anyway, returning to the grown-up table, I don't have a problem with a Stark Industries logo on Falcon's wings. It's a nice, subtle bit of cohesion between the various franchises that continues to enhance the idea of a joint cinematic universe without being too in-your-face about it. I think it's perfectly feasible and unobtrusive to consider that a company with a history of creating state-of-the-art military technology might have had a hand in creating this piece of state-of-the-art military technology.

I Wonder if Marvel used the Yves Rossy Jetpack and Festo SmartBird design as inspiration when they came up with The Falcon design for this movie.

I agree. I was glad to see the Stark Industries blueprints of the sonic cannon they used in The Incredible Hulk during it's opening montage.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed here yet...but do we know how Sam even obtains the wings yet?

I thought it was already established that he's not a SHIELD operative, but rather a war vet. If this is the case, how does he get his hands on Stark Industries tech? And furthermore, how was he trained to use it?

The say in the bts clip that he was part of a elite tactical unit or something like that. I assume this was pre Ironman era military tech.

Ok, this is possibly spoilery

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
When the Captain America 2 stickers were released, there was a reference to a Helicarrier infiltration. Perhaps Steve and Sam had to infiltrate the helicarrier for some purpose? And Sam stole the wings because he thought they were cool?

Surely they could have found some way to make the wingtech red. He just looks kind of generic wearing all black.

If nothing else, were some of it comprised of Stark tech, that would make sense.

I don't think red lenses is really enough of a nod to his comic book costume.
