BTW, here's Bradley Cooper talking with Collider about the awesomeness that is Rocket, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, and James Gunn. He seems really enthusiastic which is just great!

It's too bad that Marvel doesn't have Cooper on their radar for Hank Pym or Captain Mar-Vell. He'd be perfect.

I like the idea of Paul Rudd playing Pym. Cooper as Mar-Vell is interesting, but I'm more interested in Carol Danvers getting her own movie than him.

Scanning a bunch of old pics for my mom and came across Kumas, the pet raccoon she found in the late 70's! I was just a wee lad then but I remember him.

Speaking from experience, Raccoons can be vicious little creatures, so this movie is accurate in that regard.

Bradley Cooper talks Rocket Raccoon with MTV

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/171...=share_twitter

Quote:
"It's been great. The great thing about [Gunn] is that I tried to set the ground rules early. I said, 'Look, you don't have to sugar-coat anything. Just tell me exactly what you want,' " Cooper shared with MTV News' Josh Horowitz. "I think he was basically going like, 'Did you think I would do anything else?'

At the event for the "Thor" sequel, Gunn also mentioned that the CGI raccoon would be the heart of Marvel's upcoming sci-fi superhero movie, but Cooper had a slightly different take on the film's emotional center. The actor thinks it belongs to Chris Pratt and his character, Star-Lord, calling the half-alien gunslinger "Han Solo and Luke combined."

But together, Rocket and Star-Lord balance each other out in a way that recalls a classic movie pairing. "I think Rocket is dynamic," Cooper added. "He's the sort of Joe Pesci in 'Goodfellas' guy. You need Henry Hill."
Sounds amusing.

It's a talking space raccoon with a machine gun. How can ANYONE possibly be against this?

Meanwhile DC was too afraid to make Superman's cape too bright.

just saying.

Well, to be fair, I really liked Superman's costume in MOS. Still, Marvel makes a movie about a Raccoon with a machine gun and a talking tree, and WB can't make Wonder Woman or Flash. Although to be fair, Marvel hasn't inspired much confidence that they'll be making a female-led superhero movie anytime soon, so that's a problem with both companies.

At least Marvel has a better track record with giving female character agency, even if they haven't made a movie starring one yet.

They have a finished Miss Marvel script, and they have Jessica Jones coming off the ground as a Netflix show, plus Agent Carter on the way.

He can do character work as well as being a leading man. These are important qualities in the role of Rocket – which is a lot more dramatic than you might think.” James Gunn once again dubbed Rocket “the heart of the movie” in a separate interview with Total Film magazine. “He is most representative of the Guardians in the fact that he’s this little mangled beast that was taken and experimented on and torn apart and put back together, and we have to feel that character’s soul,” Gunn says. “If we see his plight, and see why he’s such an angry little guy, then the movie will work.”
I think people are going to be blown away by Rocket Raccoon in ways they didn't think would be possible.

Anyone I've talked to about the movie have especially laughed at the prospect of an anthropomorphic raccoon being in this film, but obviously he will be layered and more than just a complete joke.

I won't lie, I'm still doing my research on GOTG but I love how this project is shaping up. To show you how far behind I am, I literally just learned Cooper was doing the voice for this character barely half an hour ago.

I am ridiculously excited about Rocket Raccoon. I am having to play catch-up on the character because I'd never heard of him until I saw him in A:EMH, but I instantly loved the character. Helps that I have a soft spot for raccoons, too.

Who owns the rights to Spider-Woman?

No idea. Best guess is that Marvel owns the character, but can't use the name without violating Sony's licenses.

How would using the name violate Sony's licenses? Spider-Woman is not connected to Spider-Man.

Who cares about Spider-Woman? This is the Rocket Raccoon thread!

I can't wait to see how big the little rodent's gun is in the trailer. It should be bigger than he is to go along with his bad attitude.

They're just from a test sequence done by a VFX company.

I love his voice.

Cooper can rage pretty hard as is evident in American Hustle. I seriously can't wait for this trailer. Looks like he nailed the role as RR.

EDIT: Wait, apparently that's not Coopers voice.

Well I hope it's close to that because that was pretty awesome.
