Hopefully this is just a launching pad for other JL Dark films.

If this helps get the live-action film back into development, I will put my full support behind it.

an animated The Search for Swamp Thing would be another good avenue to go down.

I wonder what the line-up for the team will be? I'm not too familiar with the team but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Swamp Thing... beyond those four i dont know much. I've heard of Black Orchid (Alba) and Madam Xandu (sp?) but who else is there?

Which members do you think will show up in the movie? I was looking at the member list on wikipedia and it seems like Constantine, Deadman, Zatanna and Madame Xanada are most likely. I think Zauriel and Swamp Thing would be cool or Andrew the vampire. Black Orchid is connected to Argus...lol im excited to see who they pick!

JLD is another thing like SS that'll help DC diversify itself from the other superhero movies out there. GDT is really the best guy to handle it if they make it in the same vein of his Hellboy films, so I hope that this film will help get the live action thing going. (Or Johns helps it get made)

Swamp Thing is really cool, but I feel like having Frankenstein (and thereby SHADE) involved would be sick as well. I liked his presence on the team. Xanadu is probably necessary though, she is the one who gathers the team in the first place and could fill a similar role in any sort of adaptation.

I would love it if they got Matt Ryan to do the voice of Constantine in this. That would rock.

Meh, I like the individual characters likely to pop up but the JL Dark book was an utter flop. Janin's art was the only redeemable quality, it wasn't like Demon Knights or I vampire either where a critically hit book couldn't find an audience or get enough marketing. JL Dark only became a thing because it had JL in the title and the creators even admitted that it was not a JL by any stretch of imagination, just a motley crew called JL for sales purposes. Why would they try to bring that flop to animation is beyond me, Suicide Squad was atleast a thing at some time, this was never anything. Frankly I think people are just excited because it's not Batman.

Man you sound full of yourself.

Maybe people are excited because a very interesting corner of the DC universe that rarely gets any acknowledgement is getting it's chance to shine.

And also because the success of Assault on Arkham was definitely part of the reason a Suicide Squad movie got green lit.

Hey you know what, its just a title, if they need to name it "Justice League" in order for the thing to sell well then so be it. I'm aped to see Constantine hopefully Swamp Thing together in an animated feature.

Except it's not really an interesting corner at all, yeah Constantine, Frankenstein and Swampy are interesting, but all of them along with half a dozen others calling themselves JL was never interesting in the comics. I'm just startled they chose to go with a flop run, a team is more than the sum of it's members and it's name. I dont have a problem with these characters using a JL platform( didn't have a problem with TT either) but DC comics learned a few years ago that "JL Dark" is a misnomer for these characters. If this was Demon Knights I would've understood, at least that was a critically hit run and the team actually became a thing, JL Dark was never a thing. I'm not really convinced it might feature those characters, could well be a Forever Evil/CSA film.

You're gonna have to give me some proof on Assault, that discussion is neither here nor there but I sincerely doubt it's response and sales numbers prompted WB to make a full movie, Son of Batman should soon be coming to a theater near you by that logic. All I know is that Ayer pitched it himself, maybe it prompted them to include the Joker but that's all I'm buying for now.

Etrigan, Swamp Thing, Constantine, Deadman, Zatanna..if that doesn't sound amazing to you I just question your familiarity with these characters. This movie is going to rule, and I really hope to Zod that it paves the way for a live action movie

With GDT at the helm, the live action movie could be huge, I think it'd really catch on and set DC apart from the competition. A DCEU Sandman movie would be ****ing amazing too.

I loved Deathstroke too and I would rather he never starred in SOB or Bane in like 90% of the things he stars in. You guys misunderstand my point, I'm not saying that these characters shouldn't get a movie individually or collectively, I'm just wondering why everyone is excited for JL Dark when the comic was very lackluster and is just another in a long list of New-52 failed experiments(Constantine's depiction in particular was polarizing) and if THAT run is the basis of this movie then I frankly dont see what's to get excited about, it's JL War and TOA all over again.

It's worth noting that she is voicing Lois Lane in this continuity of movies.

First out of the gate will be Justice League Dark, an adaptation of the popular comic book series that will bring John Constantine to the world of animation for the first time in a supernatural story that promises plenty of mystery and thrills, along with an amazing voice cast. While Constantineís world of demons and magic are an important part of the DC Universe, itís been largely unexplored in DCís connected universe of animated movies until now.

Definitely connected to the established continuity. I'm guessing O'Mara's Batman will have a role of some kind.
