The Bat-Mobile should be a Bugatti Veyron.

Meh. I prefer the look and practicality of the Tumbler. That car looks like it could be crushed or blown up easily.

Default New Batmobile

I looked around for this topic and didn't see one yet, so lets discuss.

Now that the beloved Tumbler is gone...Which direction do you think nolan will go? I personally loved the idea of the all terrain batmobile that is the tumbler. I do not think they would try to recreate it but rather go in a different direction. I think the new batmobile shouldn't be pretty for his current situation. I would like to see something like a lambo that has many toys and upgrades or something like a previous batmobile

Bruce has been seen driving a lambo in both movies so I think its safe to say he enjoys driving them.
I would also like to see the batwing in the next movie, as long as it can be done tastefully and not too over the top. Example: Batman forever. It served no purpose besides the fact the batmoblie had been destroyed. Why couldn't they both take the boat?
I would enjoy hear what everyone else thinks

after having the Tumbler, I can't imagine Bruce going to something as sleek as these. I mean, could that crush through a concrete barrier or sustain a rocket? I don't think so. I'm interested in seeing what Nolan comes up with ...

... but what I really want to see is the PIMPED OUT CAVE (or as pimped out as one can reasonably imagine in a Nolan-verse). maybe Batman saves some illegal immigrant from a mugging, and the illegal gets his day laborer friends to help pimp Batman's cave. Batman pays them well and gets them all VISAS.

Sleekness and/or design has little to do with sustaining impact. Besides, they make one little quip about the material being able to deflect bullets/missiles, and the crowd completely buys into it immediately.

It's happened, oh.....like 6 times over the course of the two films? It doesn't take much to convince people, (un)fortunately. "This is that" and you move on.

someone probably stole my idea already but IF there's a second Tumbler prototype, I would like to see Bruce make some modifications to it to give it a sleeker, more bat-like design.

i think it would be cool if Bats has the second tumbler but is also building a spare batmobile because he doesn't want the same with what happened with the joker to happen again. this could open up bringing in Harold with a mix of him in the comics and the mechanic from the B:TAS.

Like I mentioned in the Bat-voice thread,
I think Bruce is constantly improving and evolving his crime fighting methods. I could see him update his costume again, improve his garbled voice (or even have a voice altering device), add more weapons to his arsenal, keep improving on his hand to hand combat as well as detective skills, finally open the new Bat-Cave, and even introduce a new car.
This time the car could be designed just for him and his needs as Batman.

Nolan's Batman is someone who would be constantly adapting and improving his approach to crime fighting in order to get the best results. So I think a new Bat mobile is very possible.

Seconding! It was a design from the 80ies but artists still draw it because they are lazy. Very few of them try something new.

As for the new Batmobile in B3, well i would like an evolution of the Tumbler. A more beautiful and sleek design, but still something as monstrous and effective. People claim that batman needs a Burtonmobile to escape the cops in the next film. Well, have you guys seen Batman Begins? Yeah, the Burtoncar cant even mount a curb when the tumbler flew over buildings.

And having a huge bat face on your car's bonnet serves some ninja target? Please expain to me. After all we are talking about a comic book character. Aesthetics are just as important as plot.

Screw the Veyron. If there's any car in the world that the new Batmobile should be modeled after, it's the Lamborghini Reventon:

It's also got one of the coolest looking dashboards ever:

And it needs to be one of the inspirations for the new Batmobile not just for the sake of looks, but because it can actually be a logical progression from the Tumbler. The Tumbler looked like it was clearly inspired by the F117 stealth fighter with the angular plating, which is now outdated decommissioned. And the Reventon's design was based on the F/A-22 which is the next generation of stealth fighter plane. A little bit of changes and tweaks here and there to make it look more formidable and you've got the ideal Batmobile successor for this franchise.

Here are a couple more cool concepts for the Batmobile:

The Mazda Furai also looks like a pretty good inspiration:

The Maybach Exelero is pretty much the TAS Batmobile. Fins sold separately.

And these Peugeot concepts are quite nice too.

LOL @ people posting sports cars with little functionality outside a racetrack. You gotta think outside the box man! The Tumbler was unusual. A cross b/w a lambo and a hummer. The Batpod again was unusual. A 2 wheeler that motivated forward like a motorcyle but wasn't one at all. Youse guys posting sleek impractical sports cars aren't thinking like Chris Nolan would think.
