I will definitely give it some eyes; it looks interesting.

It feels like the show is going to pull on and play on serious issues within the Black community and merge that with comic fantasy which is smart.

When does this show start? Is it this week with the other CW shows?

It's a mid season show so not until around February/March after LoT wraps up.

Pretty well known considering he's been with the Justice League and the Outsiders (alongside Batman and Katana).

Edit: He was also DC's first Black superhero to lead his own comic.

Oh wow. I was NOT expecting that. Good on CW for actually using Anissa's girlfriend.

It's good that it's getting the post-Flash timeslot. It means CW believes in it and wants it to do well.

I wonder where Legends of Tomorrow will move to.

Yes. Black Lightning debuted in the 70s. Static along with the other Milestone Media characters came along in the 90s.

I thought the trailer looked decent enough and I'm looking forward to the premiere on January 16. The trailer made me think his powers might be technology based but it also looked like his daughter might be a metahuman. I read as of now this is not part of the Arrowverse and there are no plans of yet for it to be. I think thats unfortunate and hope that it will tie in to the other shows in some capacity eventually. Originally this series pilot was ordered by Fox but they passed on that script with CW using an entirely different script for this pilot so maybe there is hope.
