She was a silent fighter, nothing more.

And Buster Keaton was a silent actor nothing more. There's nothing stopping a physical performance being more interesting that the dumpster fire that the rest of DCEU's villains make. It'd be different if she were trying to keep up with Nolan's villains or something.

In other words; she's the best for not torturing the ears of audience with horrid dialogue. I think Zod has ok dialogue.

Nothing about Faora was particularly interesting. She was there and played her part well. I've always thought she was overrated.

He does have okay dialogue. But it's not Faora's silence, but her physical expression that made her so impactful. Part of it is that she is clearly enjoying the events of the film, which connects with others who want to as well, and the other part is that she uses her powers in a way that anime fans have been waiting for Superman to do since Goku had a tail. You add that to the fact that she's the ideal Zack Snyder character (mute, physically perfect, hyper physical) and actually fits snugly in MOS' message and indeed is already what Snyder wants to evolve Superman into by Knightmare... it's no wonder she left such a big positive impact on so many people... without saying a single word. If there's no other DCEU villain that left a big positive impact on a number of people, then, well... she's the best villain in the DCEU. By far.

EDIT: AND after googling, I reminded she does have dialogue, and like all the best villains she has a specific ideology which she espouses which is logically compelling, but morally repulsive. Hers, unlike those of other DCEU villains is clearly communicated, without contradiction, and clearly thematically resolved with her defeat.

- Johns is still in
-No current plans on a separate "DC studios"
-Snyder is not coming back to direct JL 2 like originally planned or any other DC movie.
-They believe Affleck in Reeve's Batman is unlikely

I think Faora was a good henchmen, but not a great villain. She definitely had this interesting charm and charisma despite not saying much.

Whatever the case, thankfully Kevin Tsujihara and Greg Silverman got their bonuses before it!

A certain song from Spider-man 2 plays in my head every time I read something like this.

On a serious note I empathize with Snyder as a human being because I recognize that 2016 and 2017 have not been kind to him. However, as a film-maker.... he should have been shown the door back in 2013 and I'm happy that there were people behind closed doors at WB who have felt this same way for a while now.

If that Flash movie with Affleck is Flashpoint then WB haven't learned a damn thing from this whole endeavour. They've just crawl there way out of the dark and dreary Snyder world, and now they are planning to go back just to reboot everything. Even if Flashpoint is a loose adaptation in the same way Civil War was it's going to have to portray the JL characters in a negative light....again. A story where someone screws with the timeline and the result is positive makes absolutely no sense.

At this point I don't care if there isn't an explanation to potential changes to the DCEU.

Just don't reference the stuff that "didn't work".

Let's say Affleck gets replaced by another younger actor. All movies going forward act like Batman was always in his 30's. etc

The James Bond series for years dealt with the same issues by doing just that. Ignoring what didn't work and leaving in what did. For instance Tracy's death in On Her Majesty's Secret Service is kept cannon all the way through to the end of Brosnan's era. That's 4 James Bond's spanning almost 30 years. And yet Blofeld was recast god knows how many times.

Yeah she was about on par with that lady in Iron Man 3... or maybe a bit lesser IMO.
