I think both Cap costumes are perfect. The one in his own movie feels more realistic & something an actual super soldier would wear during WW2. The Avengers suit makes him more in with the likes of Iron Man & Thor. Plus, what good Cap fan would be disappointed at a near perfect translation of the classic costume to the big-screen?

I am amazed at that freaking awsome pic! I just wish it was officially released instead of a camera phone quick-snap. Slightly off-centered and blurry...but still bloody cool as hell!
Maybe if this circulates enough around the net, it will force Marvel's hand to release a hi-res shot.

I don't mind the WWII Cap outfit at all on the proviso it very much sticks to WWII. Looks like Marvel stuck to the deal and in turn gave me exactly what I wanted for Cap's modern day Avengers outfit which is far more important to me.

And as the leader of the "The Avengers costume will be different and it will be amazing" brigade, I'm glad I'm right.

My gut initial feeling is that is friggin awesome. They fixed my biggest problems with the WWII suit: more stripes, more red, more form fitting, and ears. Thank god they're keeping the wings and is it just me or are they a little bigger than the WWII suit? My only minor qualms are the slight busyness of the thighs and the white strip; what's up with that?

BTW is the toe of his boot blue or is it just a shadow?

The only thing that bothers me about the new suit is that it seems Cap's arms are completely blue. It's a shame because it would look just like the comics otherwise.

It KINDA looks like his bicep is white. Maybe, and I think it's just wishful thinking on my part, MAYBE the underside of his upper arms and bicep area are white, as well as the entirety of his forearms as well ( up until the red gloves, that is.

If you look closely i think its more like a Spiderman thing. The outer surface is blue, but if i am not mistaken the inner is white. Look closer at his right hand.

for Capt's new suit... so.. to all those folks who said an accurate costume with wings on the helm and ears exposed would never translate well to film... still think so? I always said it could work if it's done right, and here is a clear example of it being done right. :P

Once again, the "What works in comics doesn't work on film" crowd has been proved wrong again.

That poster is so awesome!

and if you looks on the left his bicep is pretty much the same colour as his torso in shadow, so i think it is white, just doesn't quite look ti due to the shield's shadow etc.

To be fair though this is still an artistic rendering. There's still some cheating going on.
