2 or 3 years for ASM 3 movie?
So, are we going to wait 3 years for ASM 3 or do you think Sony will get a new director? No way is Webb ducking out of making a movie for Fox for THREE movies.
Wait for Marc for 3 years or get a new Spidey movie in 2 years but with a different director |

It's going to be three years regardless, and Marc Webb will direct, Sony will wait for him to direct a film in between.

I think 3-4 years or so is fine for Marc Webb. It also gives the studio more time to make a really good script in the meantime.

Depends on if I dig TASM 2 or not. If it's on par with the first one, then I definitely don't want Webb back. If it's good or better, then wait for Webb. After the third one I think they should try out someone new though.

Yeah, the 3 year wait between Spider-Man 2 and 3 was ridiculous, even the 4 year one between TDK and TDKR.

I think next year, Sony might quickly greenlight the third movie for a 2016 release date.

It's in my opinion that ASM3 will be the next honest attempt at avoiding the third act curse.
TDKR was a good movie but suffers from a good amount of fan criticism. IM3 has it's own issues. Both I rank as "good but not great" movies. And therefore we have yet to see a great third movie. It's either this or Thor 3.

I'll say 2017. No other reason then it gives Webb, Garfield & co. a bigger breather this time. These films are massive undertakings and come with a ton of pressure. Marc didn't seem to have much time to decompress between TASM and TASM2. He was working with Sony on the VFX up to a month before release....Then he probably started work on the sequel soon after to start filming in February. I think when May 2nd comes around, he'll need to recharge his batteries more the second time around.
