OK, so I'm a straight guy, and a bit homophobic. And yet I think Brokeback Mountain is an amazing film.
Any one else (straight male) thinks so? I'm above all a movie critic and when I saw the movie in 05, I thought that it's one of the best directed-acted film I have ever seen. So real. For me the film is just the most REAL movie I have ever seen. |

I thought the acting was very, very good.
For me, the scene where Alma (sp?) finally confronted Ennis about his "fishing trips" when he's over for Thanksgiving after their divorce felt very real.

Yeah, the acting was superb. And that scene you mentioned happens to be my very favorite one of the entire movie. Brilliance in directing and acting. But the final scene between Ennis and Jack, the ''I wish I knew how to quit you'' was superb as well.
