I used the AR App on the first couple of issues of AvX but then it just got old. Now I just look through the comics and get annoyed at the little AR symbol interupting the flow of my reading experience.

what is the AR app, exactly? Other than one of those things that just shows up in the middle of artwork?

I wouldn't say that it's just meaningless slapstick, though it does feel 3rd tier behind All New and Bendis' upcoming Uncanny X-Men. Still, I've enjoyed it.

In my opinion, the highlight so far was the issue with Beast vs.Sabretooth. I thought that was just a really good, enjoyable issue. Then AvX stopped the good storytelling and it's just now getting back on its feet.

Hopefully it won't take too long to get back to how good it was. Bradshaw's back next issue I think for an arc so that should help.

Well, it shows different things. Artwork of course, interviews, history of characters, facts etc

I've already prepared myself to not look forward to Uncanny Avengers. I'll just take it when I see it show up on the shelf.

Back to Wolverine and the X-Men, how many issues have been out since AvX ended?

I had no idea. I just assumed the Fire was the worst. M hubby plans on buying some fancy andriod tablet in december. He said I can load my comic stuff on there and try it out. If it runs the way it should I'll buy another one for myself. It really does make a difference what tablet you buy depending on what you want to do with it. All I wanted to do was trasnition from paper comics to digital. So far with the Fire it's been a bust. Wish I knew someone who had an iPad...

I was set on buying the iPad Mini until unexpected car repairs shot that down for now. I'll get one in the near future, I hope. I'm pretty much just using the iPhone right now which, although works fine with Guided View, wouldn't be as nice as a tablet experience.

Yeah, the Guided view works great on my ipod but yeah, I wanted that bigger screen. I am loading in all my marvel comic codes now in prep for later. Maybe santa will be kind to me this year.

The oldest code was for February. Good thing I ran into you or I would have missed out.

Hmmm... maybe I should redeem those or let someone else. The problem with that is the only other person that I know who is interested in comics hates Marvel. If it isn't Batman or Green Lantern he's not interested.

I don't really care about digital stuff. I was only interested in those back when I couldn't buy any comics and downloading them kept me up to date until I could afford to go back and buy them. I've not done that in years though, and if I have the physical copy then I don't care about the digital. And if the physical is destroyed then I'll just go out and buy it again.

I have zero interest in digital comics. If I can't hold it, I don't own it.

I think, for the most part, Land generally "draws" fairly good looking pictures. It's just that he is, for lack of a better word, a hack.

I like Land's art. And personally, I don't give a damn if he traces. I'm not his art teacher grading his projects for technical skill, I'm a reader simply looking for good-looking art.

The search bar helps, but yeah, I mainly just concentrate on new comics.

I thought these covers from the Ferbruary solicits were pretty cool:

This variant cover by Carlos Pacheco for Hickman's Avengers #5

I'd like to see Pacheco get a shot of at least an arc on Avengers since they have a rotating art team for the book.

The Nook has it's issues, and the fact that B&N limits A LOT of Android's capabilities, makes it all pretty frustrating, but it actually handles .cbz file format for comics beautifully. Having to convert everything is a pain though...

My store did a special this week to get All New X-Men #1, Thor 1, Fantastic Four #1, Avengers Assemble #9, and X-Men Legacy #1 for $10, plus whatever subscriber discount you have. I am a sucker, so of course I went for it. Haven't read them yet, though.

How has the relaunch been? Is Hickman's Avengers good?
