I take it as a scurry to grab a knife where you won't always grab it in the most cinematic way. Who knows

I appreciate the minimalist nature of it actually.

This us one thing we do agree on

It has me wondering, it just says Halloween. Now I know it's early so it's probably not the final title but maybe they will just call it Halloween.

I hope not. I mean I get the idea behind doing that. But we've had TWO previous films that we're just called that. And, much like The Thing prequel, many people will get confused and assume that it's a remake instead of a continuation (or prequel in the latter's case).

It's from the licensing expo.

I'm fine with it. They haven't even began shooting yet, it's a little something they put together to further confirm this thing is really happening. And I do like and appreciate that they're already putting effort into marketing it this far out.

I have high hopes for the film. Can't wait.

It's fine for what it is, a teaser promo. Most promo arts at the licensing expo are just logos. The font itself is nice, simple and classic. The reverse knife is odd but I wouldn't say idiotic.

Like I said on the last page, it looks like something you would've seen made for a convention like 15 years ago. I'm not worried though, at the very least I am intrigued that as of the moment they're just going with the title "Halloween". If they stick with it, that'll be 3 different films in the series with the exact same name.

I rather the film be a reboot than a sequel to the original sequel. So I hope the title means that but it may just be a placeholder until the subtitle is official.

A sequel to the original part II seems like huge challenge but I remember Carpenter or someone saying in an interview that Michael Myers is or should be a mysterious force and so they may make him super natural

I asked the same thing regarding Jason in Friday the 13th and got an overwhelming no.

Filming starts in the fall, so we should get casting news and the official synopsis by july or august right?

It's really early though, there hasn't been any casting announcements. It's just a teaser to say that it's coming. Reminds me a bit of simplistic nature of the Superman Lives poster that was made back in 1997.

According to the novelizations in the 80's, he is "Supernatural", been since his first death. Sounds like you got some bad Jason knowledge.

Slashers without Supernatural powers are disposable (like everyone who "played Ghostface") and not memorable.

If these guys want to "return to basics", call him The Shape again. Not Michael, not Brother... just a man with a blank white mask. Who is near unstoppable.

You can't take the novelisations of anything as gospel. The writers often take liberties with the script.

Whether Jason actually drowned or not or ended up in the woods still human isn't something that was ever confirmed in the series. Jason was labelled a guy who was "hard to kill" early in by many. Jason become an undoubtable Supermatural force in Jason Lives. Before that it is open to interpretation.

Myers in the first movie dubbed the Shape. Much like Jason in the early Friday the 13th films, you don't know if he is actually supernatural. All you know is this guy Loomis claims he is. That's the point it's ambiguous and that's when it worked best in my opinion. Again there's no right or wrong.

And before you question my knowledge I've seen every Friday the 13th and Halloween more times than I can count. I've read many books on both, I've read scripts, I've been going on websites for decades and I am obsessed with these franchises.

It's a fine, simple marketing teaser poster for a movie that isn't coming out until late next year.

Why is the knife backwards? Jesus Christ.

Complain about the poster but that's just missing the point.
