Default What's your latest read?

I just finished Teen Titans #20 and Adventures of the Super Sons #1.

Titans has a lot of potential and Super Sons is just good clean fun.

I'm all over the place with my reading. Some books I've been working on for years and have yet to finish.

I've always wanted to read V for Vendetta!

I just read a pick up out of my LCS's buy one get one free bin. Mother Panic #3. Little disjointed being the third issue in, but a fight with Batwoman and a creepy villain makes it worthwhile.

I definitely recommend it. One of Moore's very best!

I agree about V. What a good read. Although for some reason I was disturbed by the ending and the treatment of

Rose Almond. I found her a tremendously sympathetic character and in the end she is sentenced to a short life of torture

Yes. I like to think V managed to pull off a rescue at some point. Evey certainly seemed sympathetic to Rose when she saw in the club that first time.

Incidentally, I've often wondered if the original V could have been a female as well. The supposed Larkhill backstory was never confirmed as actually being V's, and V looks to be of quite slight build throughout the book.

Superman Exile Hardcover, I still love this story, every year I re-read a few storylines. Another one is Batman Hush

There are so many Superman stories I need to get to. I only read Birthright a couple of years ago and just got to Up Up and Away and All-Star this year. Those were all amazing.

So I managed to stay up late last night and read all of New Teen Titans Vol.8.

Here are my thoughts:

- George Perez’s art continues to impressive

- The way all of the storylines and plots were structured was almost perfect. They planted seeds for future storylines like “Crisis on Infinite Earths”, transitioned Lilith back in and out of the Teen Titans’ lives, dealt with the effects that Judas Contract’s aftermath had on Beast Boy and Deathstroke, the subplot regarding the potential untrustworthiness of Adeline Kane and Jericho as well as having Donna Troy and Terry Long getting married was almost seamless. Nothing appeared to truly get lost in the shuffle

- My favorite moments in this particular volume are:

* Seeing Bruce and Dick finally address why Bruce was willing to adopt Jason Todd but never adopted him

* The conversations between Donna and Diana

* Seeing Dick and Donna’s rather touching conversation before the wedding where they even tell each other that they love one another in a non romantic

* Beast Boy getting consumed with retaliating against Deathstroke to the point where he purposefully sabotaged the case so he can try and kill him on his own....Simply because it showed that Beast Boy can use his head when he wants to

* Beast Boy and Deathstroke’s reconciliation over everything that happened between him and the Titans as well as Beast Boy coming to terms with the kind of person that Terra was.

Really looking forward to reading the next volume....here’s hoping I haven’t gotten to the point where Danny Chase is introduced yet (shudders)
