it wouldn't be a surprise if Wonder Woman manages a second week at number 1. I think The Mummy looks decent but I think it's a $40-50m OW at best

Why not? It's absolutely possible that a WW movie could be done for $100 million given all of the parameters surrounding the movie. As has been stated, there aren't any stars in the cast who demand huge money, which benefits the budget, and I think the premise is one that can be executed without an overly massive budget.

I doubt it will, but that's not a far stretch. If Wonder Woman only drops 50% the next weekend (assuming WW makes $100 million), and the Mummy only opens to $45 million... it's a possibility.

People who believe the budget is $100m are cute.

People who pretend to know the actual budget of any film are also cute.

Big sets, heavy effects. I don't have to be an insider to figure out it cost more than $100m.

I honestly doubt this movie cost in excess of 100m, frankly it looks like something that could perfectly well be done on a tv budget. For instance, the CG doesn't look as crisp as we've come to expect because they hired a cheap vfx studio you can tell

Those guys at MPC are amateurs. Look at the horrendous filmography.

You know that more than one VFX Studio are usually attached to big budget films.

WW has 3: Double Negative, Pixomondo & MPC

The same VFX teams working on this movie are working on Blade Runner 2049

I think the Mummy is going to do way better than that. Probably in the range of $80M and up.

As a huge Cruise fan, I'm not interested to see him fight a mummy. Maybe, if he was playing The Mummy himself tho.

That will be the first Cruise film I wont see in theaters.

If social media is anything to go by then I doubt that will happen.

Wonder Woman should definitely open over 100 million though!

Popular theory online is Tom Cruise is gonna become The Mummy at the end of the movie for the Monsters Universe

Don't know why people are complain there is no marketing, once Guardians is released, WB will launch their usual marketing blitz which is three weeks before release date.

UAE RELEASE UPDATE: WONDER WOMAN has been moved up from a June 30 end release to June 1, one day ahead of the US.
Hope is not because the movie sucks and they want all the box office in the OW

Moving the release date forward would imply that WB is confident about the movie.

It's because June month is over crowded with blockbusters, June 30 was not a good date to begin with, why everything must be seen thorough cynical lens?

UAE people gets to see the movie early, and you think because it prob sucked? Man. They happened to give Cinemacon people 3 scenes to watch this month, showing their confidence.

I would have loved to see Lego Batman and MOS without a 3-6 week delay down here.

I think that's a bit too high but anything is possible. I think it'll clear 100M+ easy though
