Default Best MCU movie, despite 2 flaws

First flaw:

They needed to spend more screentime depicting Strange's learning of magic at the very beginning. They needed to specify that he spent 2 or 3 YEARS learning magic, and they needed to depict more struggle from his part to learn the magic anyway.

Second flaw:

Before the GENIUS and even groundbreaking resolution of the events, I wanted 2 or 3 additional fight scenes of Strange vs. Hannibal. Just my opinion.

Other than that, this is the best MCU screenplay to date, devoided of the usual and terrible MCU clichés and predictable/boring character development, and it was VISIONARY to the nth degree.

Totally agree on the first flaw, it felt like he learned magic in a week.

But yeah, what an amazing movie - best origin story since Iron Man.

Worst thing is, it would have taken all of two trivial edits to give him an extra couple years of training.

I haven't seen the movie, but off the top of my head is there any chance that they didn't do that in order for events to be able to fit in timescale-wise with events in other movies? Just a thought

I think you're right - there's mention of a marine colonel with a spinal injury from using an experimental suit of armour, which I strongly believe is a reference to Rhode's accident in Civil War (there's a big argument about that in another thread).

However, I feel like he needed to be there for several years - sure he's a genius with an eidetic memory, but you feel like he needs more time.....it's a bit like the time Luke spent with Yoda, I mean, they never really explain how long he was on Dagobah - a couple of days, weeks, months ?

Still, it's not a big flaw, and the movie doesn't suffer much at all for it. Yeah, I'm nitpicking really.

I do get where you're coming from.

That's why we have CBMs, isn't it?

It can't be Rhodey, because the age is completely wrong, and Rhodey is Air Force, not Marines.
