Oh, they already view him as Junior Soprano. A figurehead that is a big fat lightning rod to draw the fire when something happens while they really run the show.

Pretty sure he cant executive order healthcare away from millions of americans. And if he does he would be solely responsible for killing and harming millions of americans. Not that he cares but americans with a shred of decency might care. Im sure the GOP would love it if Trump tried to do it alone so that thos sniveling little cowards could place all the blame on Trump when it inevitably backfires and kills countless americans.
Introduce the bill next Tue. Schedule the vote for Wed.

Also, sounds like they are going to try to toss the Wall into the continuing resolution for the budget, so Government shutdown 2?

Is there something special about next Tuesday and Wednesday?

It's the last legislative week before his first 100 days are up.

So this is just ego inflation.

Also interesting article at how fun next week will be.

Yup, a Government shutdown unless they back having Americans pay for the wall that 45 said Mexico would pay for.

I have to say that I do love the fact that a President with a majority in the senate and congress keeps threatening the minority party to try to get them to help him get stuff through.

It's literally Trump's version of "Obama/Hillary is coming for your guns." Only in this instance healthcare is actually helping people instead of killing them.

He made a statement on the shooting. Not on the election.

Actually he did:

"Another terrorist attack in Paris. The people of France will not take much more of this. Will have a big effect on presidential election!”

Anyway, to give him credit on something good, looks like his people were able to negotiate the release of an American aid worker being held in Egypt. Not sure what it costs us though.

Or when he claims credit for it?

Do you think he'll respect the aid worker enough to let them recover from their experience first?

Just the other day he was claiming that he had the most successful 90 days and now 45 is complaining that the whole 100 days thing is a "ridiculous standard". Funny from a guy who spent his campaign going on about how much he was going to do immediately.

So, Trump is essentially going to use the ACA payments as hostage for anything he tries to pass, it sounds like.

https://twitter.com/sarahnferris/sta...7861655605253?

He honestly cannot see just how this will turn on him.

Dan Rather's News and Guts team put it best:

"Perhaps the best comparison here is the kid who says his teacher hates him before bringing home a report card with a "D".
It was Trump himself who, back in October, released his "Contract With The American Voter", a laundry list of to-do's for his first 100 days.

With few of those boxes checked, the White House is desperate for an achievement. So, from the ash heap reappears the GOP healthcare bill. Good luck with that."

See, it's even more damning for Trump. He has Congress. That "his" first major legislative action was defeated by his own party? There is a bad 100 days, and then this major @#$% up of an administration.

I love how he touts his Supreme Court pick as a success. Sure, it just took Mitch holding the seat hostage for a year, and then using the nuclear option. But I guess a win is a win?

Exactly. Obama had a Democratic Congress and got TARP through. As for healthcare, it took longer, but he was able to get it passed without a single Republican vote. Meanwhile Trump is complaining he couldn't get any Democrats even though he didn't really even reach out to them.

He isn't wrong. Firstly, the First Amendment protects from government censorship only. The government may not take actions that limit speech (there are exceptions where the government can). Private actors, as candidate Trump was, are outside of the scope. Provided his rallies were held in private venues that he rented the right to use, he can limit speech however he chooses within his venue. I cannot go into Regal Theater, scream throughout the movie, and then claim Regal violated my right to free speech when I am asked to leave. This is no different.

That said, free speech isn't a defense for inciting violence, so Trump's team is wrong in that regard.

So, the Treasury Sec. did not grant Exxon a waiver to drill in the Black Sea, which would've been prevented by the sanctions.

Huh. Not going to lie, that is a big surprise.

It's a very slippery slope and could easily set a dangerous precedence!

Is there any country Trump has not insulted yet?

He's gone out of his way to insult Canada, Germany, Australia, South Korea, Mexico, China, etc.

At this point he is going out of his way to ensure countries see the US as an economic enemy, not an ally. Trump is almost daring the rest of the world to align their economic interests against the US.

Has Trump succeed in making America more respect around the world? The days when people complained about Obama bowing to the Emperor of Japan or not having a big enough flag pin seem quaint now.

It's annoying how much politics is devolving. I mean it has been for awhile, Rove did some nasty work, even against his own party (McCain for instance). It's just taking a sharper nose dive now.

In the current political climate it's ok for the president to treat an entire party like enemies. Hell, he calls judges, and anyone that doesn't agree with him enemies of America. He even tweets like an angsty teenager. We have celebrities, and Sarah Palin openly being disrespectful in the WH. A politician said he loves the new political climate, and grabbed a woman by the crotch. Members of our own government insult, and accuse allies, just because.

It's like Washington is becoming a reality TV show set in a Jerry Springer setting. I thought it was bad when a movie actor, Gary Coleman, and a porn star were running for governor of California. At least that just affected one state. This behavior is setting the tone for the entire country.
