I think it's for the best Adam Warlock didn't show up now. Enough characters and subplots as it is. If he does come in for the third movie, then they can dedicate a whole movie to Adam Warlock and/or Magus.

I strongly believe Mar-Vell will be in Captain Marvel. Sort of like Hank Pym in Ant-Man. Most likely going to die in the end.

I saw the official runtime is 136 minutes. Glad it will be a little longer than the last one. Marvel seems less skittish about some longer runtimes now.

My jaws dropped after learning about the original Guardians and who is playing them. Kudos.

Damn.

I don't think they were ever skittish. The team-up films are the only ones that have longer runtimes because of the more characters and i makes sense to be this way. I don't think cap marvel or Ant-man 2 will be 140 minutes.

Cool.

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
I like the original Guardians. Making them Ravengers is pretty cool as well. Perhaps in the past they came together to fight some threat (Not the Badoon because Fox own them) and once the threat was handled they became space pirates.

Yes they were. For example, with The Incredible Hulk, they were all about a faster, quicker movie, and things became irreparable with Edward Norton because so much footage was cut.

Just look at the first Guardians movie. Gunn cut a ton of footage to make sure the film stayed at about two hours. Gunn even said he was really brutal on some of his actors in the cutting of the movie. Glenn Close and Benicio Del Toro were really over-hyped for the film and barely did anything.

Now to be perfectly honest, there's a few things they really IMHO shouldn't have cut from the first movie. Gamora's entrance into the film is a little abrupt and thin. Nebula doesn't have quite enough agency. That one-minute scene between them really does a great job actually quite quickly and simply establishing their relationship. Also, that little extension of her killing her Sakaaran escorts. It shows how formidable Gamora is. And it shows that right off the bat she's turned on Ronan and Nebula.

Thor, Ant-Man, Thor: The Dark World, same thing. Not saying Ant-Man needed to be two and a half hours. But starting with an actual scene of Hank Pym going on a mission as Ant-Man could've really elevated the film. Not saying make it 136 minutes. But what about, 125 minutes?
