1-1 now Martial equalises after Gayle's opener.

It was either comeback today or go watch Justice League. I think he chose wisely.

It's not too late. I'll get him a ticket. Fellaini can come on for him.

Sweet Jesus, I thought Lukaku had skied that.

Is it any surprise United look oh so much better with Pogba on the field? Have to commend Jose for actually starting Martial and Rashford together for a change today.

Anyone want to question how good Pogba is now? Seriously. All the cries he doesn't score enough. He literally makes this ship move.

Arsenal under Wenger always seem to have this uncanny ability of conjuring up results like that in big matches despite practically being in 'perennial crisis' mode.

Only question mark people can bring up now imo is his performance and ability to show up for big matches, especially given his 'mare against Liverpool last season. As happy as I am that Pogba's back, it's rather worrying how essential he is to the efficiency of this current United side.

Eh. This is a Spurs thing, not an Arsenal thing imo. Arsenal get hammered in big matches all the time.

Fair point. Only mentioned it being an Arsenal thing because of their results against United in recent seasons, Giroud's late goal to equalise at Old Trafford last season for ex, even though they didn't win that one.

Hopefully the return of Zlatan and Pogba means United stop looking so tepid. Considering the starting attack of Martial, Rashford and Lukaku with Pogba behind I still think we’re way too slow and labored in our play.

The thing with Arsenal though is that while they're a constant joke under Wenger, they never get bad enough where they reach the tipping point. They will get hammered by City only to beat Spurs in the next game, only to lose away to Burnley next weekend. Spurs do line up the occasional chokes, but today was the positive game for Arsenal in between arsenalfanTV meltdown.

I can almost guarantee they will put in a choke performance next weekend away against Burnley - the type of team that suits Arsenal the worst. A lot of big physical players who can have their way with Arsenal on set pieces, and a solid home team right now.

Such a weird team. Now they will lose to Stoke next week. There seems like zero progress every year there even with the long term managerial stability other clubs don't have.

Amazing how everything changes once a player or two comes back, Pogba made us look like a completely different team, or more accurately like the team at the start of the season, guess Jose wasnt all that negative after all just really relies on one player to make the whole thing work and we've gone from a dull and negative team to scoring four goals a game again and with Zlatan, Pogba and Fellaini back a powerful force in the air.

But we really need to heed the issue that the last few games have highlighted in that we need more world class players other than Pogba to really be a force to challenge for the top spot, the whole thing will fall down this season as soon as Pogba is injured or has an off game but for now hopefully we can get a run of him, Zlatan, Lukaku, Matial, Rashford all fit and firing and see how far it can take us this season. City probably have the title nailed down now, cant see anyone catching them, but we need to cement a top 4 spot and have a fair crack at the cups.

City, Liverpool & Chelsea all won yesterday too conceding no goals between them. Now 4 points separating 5 teams going for 4th.

Yeah, the scramble for top 4 places is now the main event since there seems little chance of City duffing it. That said City historically have a poor record in the December/January period and often drop points there, so perhaps we’ll have a more interesting prospect in February.

That might give you a chance. Although their squad seems strong enough to cope without any one or two players, even ones who are out of form rather than injured. Pogba's great but it looks like you're totally depending on him at the moment and even a downturn in form for him could again change everything. Securing top 4 and also finishing higher to avoid any CL qualification matches next season should be the target while being ready for when City fo go through a bad patch. If you can get a nice cushion in 2nd it might help you win something else too.

I just dont see which teams will take points off City now. They have dispatched the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea with relative ease, Spurs I though could prove a tricky tie but seem to be a bit off it at the moment and United need to be at 100% to even give them a game and even then could still beat us without too much problem. With an 8 point lead they hold all the cards though, they can draw those games and it would be no use to anyone else.

Anyway we just need to worry about ourselves and effect what we can and just hope to god we dont lose Pogba or any other major players for any length of time as otherwise the fight for the top 4 will be a much harder one for us.

Just heard that. Funny one as he's usually the go-to guy for a relegation-threatened club who've just sacked their manager lol.
