I meant after Origins there was a really bad taste in everyone's mouths so Fox took the planned Magneto spinoff and used it as a start for First Class instead.

Yes I'm wrong.
after X2 jackman and donner wanted to do a film on wolverine in japan.fox wanted to do an origin film first so that became origins.inf act script for origins started befroe kinberg was hired to write last stand after singer and rothman's falling out which led to singer doing superman returns and rothman detminded to beat superman to theaters.

first class became a magneto and xavier origin story because when donner and fox brought singer onboard he wanted to make film about them.

Singer has history of when he comes on projects throwing out previous scripts and starting out fresh see X-men 1 and superman

remember despite some moaning this is going to use the apocalypse cast likely minus lawrence and fassbender.they aren't bringing back OT cast and they aren't rebooting.

with lawrence people should remember big reason why fox is moving forward with FC/apocalypse cast Is money.same reason they headed towards prequels after last stand.Cheaper for them that way.Original cast was partly
why DOFP cost 200 million to produce.Unlike Jackman Lawrence isn't beloved by X_Men fans and doesn't have any passion for X-Men.

Donner saying they are moving away from dealing with xavier and magneto relationship was a big tipoff no magneto in this film.

Xavier,Cyclops, and Jean should be main characters they focus on In this
film.

X-Men: The Last Stand - 58% on RT
X-Men: Apocalypse - 48% on RT

But if I said Apocalypse's reception was horrible, many would jump at me saying it was just mixed, a misstep, underwhelming, dissappointing, etc.
