The amount of time this project has been in production is just ridiculous.

The same was thought ABOUT MgR and don't forget we haven't heard a peep from Rock star's on the ip "Agent" which came about the same time FF versus was announced. and Over strike has been quiet since it was announced at the E3 before this one . But people keep saying the latter 2 ip's are still being made by those studio's .


I think what's going on with FF versus is that there is a rescheduling and restructuring event happening there like what happened with metal gear rising to become Revengence. and their saving it for the ps4 and other consoles (latter part possibly )

How would you guys feel about a title change? I personally like Versus XIII, but I have this feeling it may see a change before release. Agito did.

I'm hoping it does get a title change. The XIII "brand" is toxic, get it as far away from that as possible, and "versus" gives the wrong impression. Makes it sound like a fighting game or something. Personally I'm totally behind the idea of making Versus into Final Fantasy XV.

Heck this might just end up being a PS4 title at this point, kinda like how FF XIII got bumped up to the PS3 at the end of the last console gen. I wonder if they will just make it into Final Fantasy XV

I can't imagine them putting it out on PS4 with the tiny user base it will have compared to PS3. It will probably very late PS3 game. :/

Thats exactly what they did with FFXIII when they announced it wasnt coming to the PS2 anymore, but would end up on the PS3 instead and its not like the PS3 had a large userbase in its first years

That's more likely and best thing to say at this point. It can go ether way. But I do think it'll be on the next gen consoles since FF has always been about pushing the visuals. That and to not have so much work to do for those systems and have some thing for them when it's time and as fast as possible. It's just more likely to me any way.

The name change is even more likely.

Maybe thats why they arent showing anything yet bc internally, they already have switched its development to make it onto the next gen consoles,but of course cant say or show anything yet until Sony (and MS bc chances are it will go multiplatform) make their announcements

they did, it just wasn't what most people wanted from them. and it was more stalling of older ips with the FF name.

They changed the title of Final Fantasy Agito XIII into Final Fantasy Type-0. When there's 3 games now (2 released, 1 unreleased) that having XIII in the title that are heavily connected, it makes no sense to use the XIII branding on other stuff that is not. They really got way carried away in pre-production with whole Fabula Nova Crystallis concept.

Agito isn't as connected to XIII as it used to be it is it's own thing now. they said they will drop the latter numbering for that. Versus will most likely be the same deal.

All I know us It's known as Type-0 now and days and it's doing fine in japan sales wise. Still no plans have been announced for over sea's release.
