just an idea...
He isn't able to put contacts in his eyes without opening his eyes . . . which makes for a bit of a problem.

^^I thought of a scene when Jean brings Scott a set of eye contacts and when he takes off his glasses, she holds back his power long enough for him to put the contacts in. am i the only one who thought of this? Plus with Jean doing this for him, i don't see it as a problem.

Sounds like it could work. I dunno though, I'm so used to seeing Scott with glasses that him walking around with red eyes might freak me out. It's one of the reasons I don't like Gambit much. I can handle any color in the eyes except red. Besides I find the glasses and the visor kind of sexy, lol.

I don't think they'd be red... like they could be seen clear on the outside... I guess it depends on how special it could be made to meet Scott's needs.

No doubt. Not only did Marsden prove in SR that he can has good screen presence in terms of acting ability, but the movie also showed that Singer has no qualms about using him in a strong role even as a supporting character. Now imagine if Singer did X3, and is there any doubt how much more Cyclops we would have seen?

That's not really possible. Only ruby quartz or a skilled telekineticist can hold back Scott's beams. Or the aural energy from his own body (hence his eyelids). And ruby is red, so the lenses for the glasses or contacts would have to be red. You can make them white on the outside, but that means they would have to be opaque so poor Scott wouldn't be able to see.

I suppose Jean could hold back Scott's optic beams long enough for him to put his conact lenses in, but at this point I think Scott would be a little weary of Jean and her amazing talents. Next time he hears her ask him to take off his glasses, or "no really Scott! I can control them this time! honest" I think it would make him shudder

Hehehe. Scott would be like "No, no it's okay..."

Haha. That works to an extent, although I would imagine it would get a bit old having to have Jean around just so Cyclops can put in his contacts . . . and if one were to accidentally fall out when she isn't around, he would be screwed.

If this is a one time or occasional deal with Jean presnt, then sure, why not?

I dunno, if it's just the two of them, it would be more fun and intimate to just have Scott blindfolded, or even both of them

I would also use the fan rumor about how the doctors force his eyes open - that could be a dark little sequence...

Too bad there is no x-4, and too bad that if it was ever made Fox will be handling it.
that would be a great opening for X4.

Nice interview S&J you found.

Wouldn't Scott blow the contacts out of his eyes with his beams?
The glasses outside filter the blasts, but something placed directly on his eyes might not hold the pressure?

Hmm, thats a good question. Somebody should write up a report about Cyclops' optic beams, lol. See what they can find.

I thought about it too, but he can't wear them without blasting his hand away - I'm not sure staring into Jean's eyes worth it

And he still be seeing red... It think it might be in good use when he's sleeping though. Having those sleeping goggles must hurt his head after a while....

thats what I just said... they can be white or clear on the outside but he'd be seeing red... hense in my early post, I mentioned Ruby Quartz EYE CONTACT LENSES! ... sorry ... just pay attention to my posts next time.

and I don't think Scott has to worry about Jean not able to control them but she can now and since she came back, she's stronger still. He loves her enough cause she's helping him. so with these RQECL Jean will be able to look into his beautiful eyes.

Got loads of pics of James from his movie 10th and Wolf. I saw the trailer and it seems this is Jame's first starring role. Looks pretty good.

Maybe ppl would just figure he's albino...or maybe they could be lined with blue on the outside, and it would look like he has violet eyes - those would be less creepy I suppose.

Oh, and nice work, Vilya!
