Hey hey, no disrespect for Mysterio (made Spider-Man seek therapy twice, made him lose touch with his powers once, and mind effed him by making him think his aunt was dead without knowing he told Spider-Man that lie), Hobgoblin (Kingsley), any Green Goblin (ending with the third one, that guy is interesting, even for a one time villain), Kingpin, Doc Ock, Tombstone, Sandman (the movie version certainly does not count), Kraven the Hunter (up until his death), and more.

There is one moment I really like with Venom in the comics, and that's when he figured Spider-Man was going to "cheat" in a fight, and instead of heading to the designated battle arena he went to May's house to help with her laundry.

I'll say this about Venom...for me, I have some nostalgia for the character admittedly just because I grew up in the 90s and thought he was "badass" as a kid. But with an actor like Tom Hardy playing Eddie Brock, I bet he'd become a helluva lot more interesting right off the bat.

Off topic question, Joker but what are some of your favorite Spider-Man villains?.

Top tier for me
For me as well, though to be fair, a lot of that does have to do with the Alien Costume three parter from Spider-Man 94.

I've also enjoyed a lot of the early David Micheline stuff involving the character.

To be fair, There is quite a bit to criticize about him especially given how over-exposed and misused he became in the 90's but I think it's a bit unnecessarily harsh to call him "bottom tier" (That's for villains like Grizzly, Spot or Boomerang)

Excellent picks, I's put all of these in my favorites too.

I also like Venom (when hes portrayed well), Kraven, Electro, Vulture, Sandman, Scorpion and Shocker.

He was actually my favorite Spidey villain for awhile before I switched to Venom.

Yeah they're all good choices. I grew to like Lizard and Ock but I can also do without them. I like Mysterio, Kraven, Scorpion, Carnage, Hobgoblin, Green Goblin depending on the story. But that's when I was a kid. I don't know if they evolved or not but when we were kids Vulture and Rhino were the big jokes of the Spider-Man rogues gallery. Venom and Carnage were the coolest on the playground lol, so maybe that's why I'll always have a soft spot for them. They were so dope to me in the mid 90's.

Scorpion is still my favorite, mostly due to an attachment I have with his episode in the 80s than anything he did in the comics.

I don't care about Spidey nearly as much as I used to as a kid (mainly due to the 90's animated series), but I'm intrigued to see Hardy as Venom. I thought that particular Spidey cartoon used the character very well, he came across as this unstoppable force, his most formidable foe yet. Ending up helping Spider-
Man was a nice conclusion to his arc in that show as well. I believe Spectacular Spider-Man made good use of Venom too, so there is potential there.

I do understand the complaints about the character and I can definitely see the Bane comparisons.

Human beings deserve respect no matter what their race, gender, culture or orientation is.

Movies don't. Especially not the diseased, cancerous, leprosy-induced, kolera that is a Snyder exercise in brain death you would call movies.

To equate the struggle for civil rights of black people to DCEU should be grounds for admittance to a mental institution

Oh yeah. The trend of two Spider-Man cartoons a decade started in the 80s with Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and its solo twin. An episode of season 3 of Spider-Friends has Scorpion in it, I had a very strong attachment to that episode for as long as I first saw it.

I wanted Snyder off the DCEU but not under circumstances like this. Awful news. My condolences to him and his family. And guess who is replacing him? Joss Whedon; http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/05/22/j...e-zack-snyder/

Very sad. I hope they can get through this.

And it's interesting that Whedon is stepping in to help finish the film. That means that the man will be involved in the first two big team up films from Marvel and DC, altough I still expect JL to be very much Zach Snyder's film.

I really hope this isn't used as ammunition for fanboy bull****. This is a man's child. Compared to that a movie is utterly insignificant.
