Official running time, sans previews, is 2 hours and 40 minutes. Maybe when the final film rolls along, it'll be 135 minutes long!
Cool beans.

Keep in mind this project was supposed to be two movies at first.

Without credits that is only 2 hours and 30 minutes. Not bad at all!

I wish it was a little longer than 2 hours, not 2.5. I don't think Jackson really listened to the criticism leveled at An Unexpected Journey and just kept puttering on.

Wouldn't most of this film have been shot by the time criticisms started rolling in? I imagine that some material was cut so that WB can do an EE of this one as well.

The EE for these films are a Jackson thing not a WB cash grab (Not that WB doesnt enjoy the profits). And yeah the footage for this film was shot before criticism roled in.

They shot the footage, but editing took place much later. This film has the added benefit of not being put together a few months out. They actually knew the placement of this film in the series from the start of the editing process.

PJ doesn't listen to criticism, he replaces it with CGI.

If he was, I apologize. I probably confused Rincewind as being in the Kane and Persona camp.

He doesn't look bad there. Idk maybe with proper lighting and a certain mood he might look pretty damn cool.

Just so I am clear. He doesn't look bad when covered in shadows in a grainy poster... ok.
