Marv Wolfman doing a new Raven mini, huh. And Superwoman has been canned. The first Rebirth book to take the bullet...

Francesco Francavilla revealed on instagram earlier today that he's drawing a Sgt. Rock short story writen by Tom King that's set to appear in thr DC Christmas special in December.

THAT should be pretty awesome.

Morrison will co-write Dark Knights Rising: The Wild Hunt with Snyder!

Here's the Spring 2018 release list which reveals that Action Comics #1000 will be a 168-page hardcover trade (possibly an OGN) for 30 bucks.

It only officially kicked off in August, didn't it? In that case, it doesn't seem so crazy, as long as it's winding down around that time.

Bleeding Cool just reported this as well, and I think they're a little confused by the announcement DC made a few weeks ago. To be fair, the announcement is a little confusing as well.

But Action Comics #1,000 will be an oversized floppy book with a slew of creative teams, including Tomasi, Jurgens, Geoff Johns, and Richard Donner.

DC is ALSO releasing an Action Comics #1000 celebration hardcover book, which will include a bunch of reprints, all of the Action #1000 variant covers and other supplemental materials regarding 1000 issues of Action Comics. Maybe it will include Action Comics #1000 in it as well, and this is more of a collector's edition to the standard version that's just the sole issue.

As cool as a hardcover copy of Action Comics #1000 would be, it makes no sense whatsoever to release that issue solely as a hardcover copy for $30.00.

It is simply not possible for Detective Comics to be any more awesome than it is right now.

Just finished reading Batman: The Merciless. Gotta say I am really enjoying these Dark Nights Batman Amalgams. They are a ton of fun, and seeing them just continue to kick our heros butts, with seemingly no hope in sight, makes me wonder how they're going to eventually be defeated in Metal.

Not sure what to think about Batman the Devastator, something doesnt click with me there.
Im really curious about the batman who laughs, im so interested in his backstory.
So far Metal is really enjoyable overall i have to say.

Batman the Dark Knight prince charming is interesting.
I like the design of Joker, Harley and the joker gang.
It has a nice art and style.
Storywise i will need to wait where this goes but i quite like it.

Batman White Knight could turn into a instant classic.
So far i liked every issue very much.
The great art helps a great deal too.

Detective comics is on fire, im really loving it.

Its sad that the main Batman book however has become so bad that i had to drop it with the final of the last arc.
Truly sad since i enjoy most of the current runs of DC comics overall.

Bendis is hopping over to DC after nearly 20 years at Marvel. Wonder if he'll be launching any new Rebirth books post-Doomsday Clock.

There's something I'd like to comment on, even though it's old news at this point. A few issues back in The Flash, when Barry kills Thawne, I found Thawne's reasons for killing Barry's family hilariously stupid. I mean, here's this villain who is Barry Allen's Venom in terms of what he means. He torments Barry, destroys his life all these years...because he's a giant loner? wat?

I have something I'd like to pitch:

Gotham Central revival.

I think I read Jimmy Palmiotti say something to the effect of it being hard to imagine he'd make this jump without getting to take a crack at either Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman, but I guess we'll see.

Bendis is either complete crap or grand slams. Not much in between. Hopefully he'll do well at DC. Street level characters/teams is what he excels at. I'd like to see his take on something like Green Arrow or Birds of Prey instead of something major like Batman.

But Green Arrow has been solid since Rebirth whereas Batman has been a dumpster fire.

I couldn't get into Green Arrow post-Rebirth. It sucked early during the New52 until Lemire came on and wrote one of the best New52 titles that was. Then the follow up writer sucked followed by the last writer who did okay. But once the relaunch happened it just didn't feel the same. I know that was the goal, to make it more like pre-New52, but it lost me. I didn't like it. I know most would protest, but I'd welcome a Bendis reworking.

And while I don't mind King's Batman, I agree it's not great. But I just don't think Bendis would really do that great a job with the character. I could be proven wrong though.

Give him Batgirl? I could see it. No cosmic team books like GLC. I've heard his GotG book wasn't that good. I believe his recent Defenders book is decent so I could see a revival Gotham Central book. Maybe he can do wonders with Montoya like he did with his Jessica Jones. Though, I'd love to see Rucka writing Montoya again (a Question mini, please DC).

Maybe he's on that Batman/WW book with Liam Sharp.

If Bendis isn;t with Marvel, can we finally get someone else on Miles Morales book? He literally doesn't do much as Spider-Man in a book called SPIDER-MAN. I've been longing for someone else to get a chance with Miles.

I'm curious to know what artists may follow Bendis over to DC. Landing David Marquez was be tops. Bendis and Marquez on Detective Comics would be awesome.

Marquez already confirmed that he isn't leaving Marvel. Among Bendis' long-time collaborators, I would love to see Maleev over at DC. Sara Pichelli would be great too.

This is just the beginning...

There's been talks of Hickman on LoSH and Mark Waid coming back to DC (he's currently banned ).
