I wouldn't be bothered if Snake is gone. But if they got rid of Sonic, that'd be unforgivable.

You hear me Nintendo?!

I know they don't want any more third party guys, but if they include Sonic, I want Tails or Knuckles to go with. That'd be rad.

I've been dreaming of having those two! Or Eggman!

Since Sega is making some WiiU exclusive Sonic games, I think Sonic is a safe bet to return. I'm expecting Snake to be gone though. Didn't really like him, he was kinda weird to play.

I hope Mario's spin is back to his down B instead of the stupid FLUDD.

The Mario Spin is awesome and I want it back too. I don't want two Link's this time. Toon Link and Young Link were OK, but they were just too similar to Link. Just have them as alternate skins or remove them all together. I imagine we'll get a few more Pokemon to play as. I want more DK characters. I've said it before, but Dixie Kong would be an excellent addition. Maybe make Waluigi playable? There's a lot they could do, I just don't want them to repeat too many move sets. The Fox/Falco/Wolf clones were especially annoying.

I've walkways wanted King K Rool as another DK character and Ridley as I want more Metroid characters. I always thought Samarai Goroh from F-Zero would be cool too! Mario and Zelda get most of the characters!

I guess I'm more concerned with whether or not the game will be good to worry about whether so and so will be in it or not. To be honest, they could stand to cut out several characters. Brawl was pretty bloated.

For me the more characters the more excited I get, it can become bloated but a part of me doesn't care. I do think Melee is better than Brawl though. I kept wishing Sony kept adding more and more to PS All Stars

I want them to do more with the single player. The Subspace Emissary was cool and all, but I want more from it.

I agree Brawl was slightly bloated. And I can get past the addition of useless characters no one asked for/wanted or will play as like Wii Fit Trainer and ROB.

My biggest gripe is duplicate characters. They said they were going to get rid of them in Brawl. And for the most part they did (Pichu, Roy, Dr. Mario)

But in some cases they just added more. Lucas, Toon Link and Wolf. They play fine and they are fun, I just never understood why they didn't make them more unique from one another.

For instance, give Young Link Majoras masks, or give Lucas PK ground/paralysis/brainshock, etc.

The idea is to make them all unique to allow for the most aesthetically fun gameplay possible. That's what I've always felt made SSB fun. Since N64.

Personally, I'm not really concerned about the quality of the game. We know what we're going to get, I don't expect it to be a game that's downright awful.

Who would you propose cutting?

Not that I want any of these to be cut:
  • Lucario: I think they replaced him with Mewtwo because Gen IV was new. Bring back Mewtwo for nostalgia and he's featured in the new movie
  • Lucas: Too similar to Ness, Mother 3 doesn't exist outside of Japan anyway
  • Snake: I think his appearance in Brawl was a one-time thing.
  • Toon Link: He's a clone that wouldn't be missed. Love to see them make him based off Majora's Mask. Fierce Deity Final Smash FTW!
  • Zero Suit Samus: Didn't look like Samus turned into this after her final smash in the clips we saw. Plus, the character was kinda pointless anyway, IMO.
  • ROB: I think he was a 1-time thing
  • Ike: I think either Roy comes back or they introduce a Fire Emblem character from one of the recent games. Marth is safe though.
  • Wolf: He was kinda cool, but we don't need a 2nd clone of Fox and the Star Fox series has only gotten 1 new game in the last decade

They better give Ganondorf a ****ing sword already. His taunt had one in Melee and I think Brawl, too. Not to mention it was part of his final boss fight in Twilight Princess and make him less similar to Captain Falcon.

I was fairly content with the roster for Brawl. The one thing I want for SSB4 is to separate Zelda and Sheik, give Zelda a new down B move, and replace Sheik with Impa.

If they got rid of some of the clones I wouldn't be upset. I'd want Lucas to stay though. And I really don't see the need to add more third party characters.

I agree that Ganondorf needs a new move set. I never understood why he was just a slower Captain Falcon. Make Ganondorf the way he ****ing should be!

Super Smash Bros: What happens when Kirby eats Mega Man is 'classified'

30

Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai may have been forthcoming about the new Super Smash Bros' lack of cross-platform play, but when it came to the really important information, he was still pretty cagey. For example, what could be more important than finding out what happens when Kirby eats Smash newcomer Mega Man?

These are two gaming icons whose main ability is to steal the abilities of others. For all we know, Kirby swallowing Mega Man could create a rift in the fabric of reality, destroying all life as we know it. Alas, Sakurai wouldn't give us much information. "A lot of what you're asking is still classified," he told us through an interpreter at E3.

"As far as the physical appearance of Kirby," he said, "I think what you imagine is probably pretty close to what will actually happen." Sakurai put his hands next to his head, in what we're pretty sure was the international sign for "Mega Man's helmet." We followed up by asking if Kirby would be gifted with a Mega Buster. "He's got little tiny arms, so who knows."

Keiji Inafune: "I am ecstatic Mega Man is in Super Smash Bros"

Despite leaving Capcom on interesting terms, the Mega Man creator is still thrilled to see his creation in the new Super Smash Bros.

Keiji Inafune has told VideoGamer.com that he is 'ecstatic' that Mega Man has worked his way into the Super Smash Bros. roster.

Inafune also said he looked forward to "playing and beating my kids with Mega Man in Smash Bros."

Given how Capcom and the developer parted ways there was some who questioned how Inafune would respond. Turns out there was nothing to worry about...

There will be a single player [campaign], but it won’t be like the [Subspace Emissary] mode in Brawl,” Sakurai explained. That game’s adventure mode offered a series of unlockable movies that explained the Subspace Emissary plot. “One thing we can do with the Smash Bros. series that’s unique to us — because we have all these different disparate characters brought together — is we can create that sort of fan-movie experience as a special gift. But now those things are posted on the internet, it doesn’t really become a gift for people who played the game.”

“What we decided this time around, we’re just going to have [those movies unlocked] from the beginning,” Sakurai said. “We’re going to have a movie for Wii Fit Trainer, The Villager and Mega Man and they’ll be viewable right at the beginning, you can watch those right away.”

That's kind of disappointing. I liked Subspace Emissary aside from the generic enemies they made us fight. The boss battles were awesome, especially the one with Rayquazza.

All they really needed to do was refine it and make it a little more Nintendoish. Oh well I still trust Sakurai and I'm sure these games will be awesome.
