Yeah, Uncanny didn't start out the best, but the past two issues have shown promise, specifically the newest issue. All New is definitely the better book.

And I'm looking forward to Wood's X-Men as well. I think he'll do amazing on it.

Not even two years into the reboot, and DC's market share is almost as bad as it was before. Maybe Trinity War will be a shot in the arm?

I don't think anybody's surprised. A lot of us assumed the New 52 was only going to be a short-term boost. I think the only really surprising thing about the New 52 is just how genuinely bad so many of its comics have been. It's kind of reassuring, to be honest: you can pull out all the tricks you want and get a bit of short-term gain, but genuine quality is the only insurance for long-term success.

That's probably overly optimistic, actually. Lots of Marvel's top-selling comics suck too.

I was optimistic going into the first wave of New 52 comics, but after Morrison's done with Batman, Inc. I'll be done with DC. Almost all their books feel creatively exhausted. I'm actually a little surprised, though, that the numbers are getting this bad. Usually brand loyalty amongst the older crowd keeps things afloat. But these numbers are so low it makes me wonder what else they can do to stop the bleeding. They already played the biggest ace up the sleeve with the reboot, and they lost two creators on marquee titles in the same week.

While I'm not a fan of Marvel's recent moves, some of their comics have caught my eye. Hawkeye brings my OTP Fraction and Aja together again. I hear Waid's doing great work on Daredevil. And after reading the Infinity preview for FCBD, I might give Hickman another shot, after dropping Avengers a few weeks back. Their game of musical chairs has gone a lot further towards good material than DC's.

I think when Morrison and Johns are gone from Batman and GL I'll be gone too. I'll still get the Earth One line though

I think I'll be down to just Threshold after Morrison's done with Batman Incorporated (not counting Vertigo, of course). I also just bought all of the Wonder Woman issues because I was curious about Orion's return, so I might potentially continue with that. Unlikely, but we'll see.

Marvel, as far as I'm concerned, is firing on all cylinders right now. Ignoring the X-stuff--and, really, any sensible person just does that as a matter of course--a really good percentage of their publishing line is great right now. Daredevil, Thor: God of Thunder, Journey into Mystery, Captain Marvel, Avengers, New Avengers, A+X, Indestructible Hulk, and Young Avengers are all consistently fantastic so far.

And yet, All New X-Men has been better than every one of those titles that you listed that I've read (which would be everything minus A+X and JiM). And Remender's recently wrapped up Uncanny X-Force was better than even that.

X-Men Rocks

I personally think when DC did the New 52 they should have really rebooted everything from the start, I'm not saying start with the origins but start maybe from right after that. Who knows they could have done an event with all the origins been done a Ross the Annuals.

Why does that even matter at this point? That ship sailed two years ago, and that's not even the main problem.

The main problem is that 90% of DC's books ****ing suck.

Why ignore the X stuff? Wolverine & the X-men is one of the best books on the shelf (far superior to All New X-Men, though that is also reasonably solid).

I am, too. I'm reading more DC now than I ever have and am loving it all. I want to try more but can't afford it.

Currently reading and enjoying:
Batman
Batman Incorporated
Batman & Robin (though I might drop it since Damian's gone)
Justice League
Justice League Dark
Green Lantern
Aquaman
Phantom Stranger
Nightwing
Batwoman

These are all great titles, though some are better than others. I also really want to read Earth One and Flash but can't afford them, but I'll be picking up Pandora soon, so there's that.

So? Why can't I bring it up now? I think they missed an oppurtunity

I just personally haven't liked most X-stuff for years now. Wolverine and the X-Men and X-Factor are my only exceptions. I'll be trying Brian Wood's X-Men too. The rest can go die in a fire.

That's nice. Bendis' name on the cover guarantees I won't be going anywhere near them, though. I tried multiple times to read his Avengers stuff and got burned every single time; no way in hell I'm going to bother with his X-Men stuff, given that I don't even like the X-Men all that much.

The only reason I care about All New X-Men is because of Immonen. He just gets better with every book he draws.

I liked Bendis' Avengers (obviously) but I think he has a much better handle on the X-Men than he did the Avengers. I was a bit worried because of my love of X-Men, but I've not been disappointed once. He's captured all their voices perfectly, his stories are intriguing, the art is for the most part good, and I honestly have no idea where the plot is going (which is new for me... X-Men have been very predictable for years now).

And as much as I loved Wolverine & the X-Men's first year, it's gone down hill a bit. I don't think it's even remotely close to All New or Uncanny. But hopefully that'll change with the Hellfire Club Saga. It sounds interesting, and Bradshaw's back on art if I'm not mistaken.

I'd read more DC if I could afford it, although I am more of a Marvel fan I do love DC. Right now I'm only picking up Action comics, Supergirl, Green Lantern(just for the end of Johns run, I'll pick up collected graphic novels done the line), and Justice League. I tried Wonder Woman and thought about trying Constantine but decided I'll get it in collected form, I plan on getting Batman, Aquaman(Throne of Atlantis made Justice League and Aquaman a must read for me, but I made myself only pick one series to get monthly so I chose the epic Justice League), and a few others in collected form as well. I will be trying out Batman Superman and Superman:Unchained though! Really excited about those two!

I've been picking up every Star Wars comic that comes out so thats probably why I haven't been reading more DC! Plus Marvel has several distracting things going on I can't resist....
