He'd be a damn fine Perry. I could also easily see him as Luthor. Well, honestly, they could cast Shannon as Clark's pet goldfish and he'd not only nail it, but it would be very exciting every time he'd be on screen.

David Goyer gives a shout to his thoughts on Michael's performance as Zod:

On another note, this video may add more fuel to the whole debate on how much leverage Nolan has on this film.

Regarding Superman's origin and giving it a fresh spin:

"Look, people said the same thing when we were making 'Batman Begins'. They said, "Oh, we've seen an origin story. We don't want to see it again." And I think people felt that we showed an interesting wrinkle to the legend that we've never seen before. We're generally taking the same approach with Superman in the MOS. I think we're going to show a side of Superman that's certainly never been depicted on film."

On Michael Shannon as Zod:

"Awesome. I mean, my jaw was dropping when we were on set."

The potential for it being just that is ridiculous. They really have so much backstory, so many relevant elements to incorporate from so many different angles. It's all there. All they have to do is align it just right. Not a big undertaking, it really ****ing isnt.

Indeed; I mean, they'd have to be more of a bigger idiot than my friend was when he asked a twin if she was a only child to screw this up.lol

1. Snyder as Director/Bringing his visual flare to a real world setting.

2. Goyer/Nolan behind the story, with Superman being treated and presented as the actual main character.

3. Moving away from the past Film Interpretations.

4. Phenomenal Cast involved, from fan favorite Henry Cavil as Superman, to the likes of Amy Adams as Lois and Russell Crowe as Jor-el.

5. WETA for the films visual effects.

The list can go on...

And we'd have it in cinemas in a little over 2 months if it weren't for that damn change in release date!

I didn't know WETA was doing effects. Good to see. Just as long as Sony Image Works is far far away from this project.

Question though, who did Watchmen? Specifically Doc Manhattan?

I'm with Hopefuldreamer on this one bc theres that other possibility that we would get the same movie and they only pushed it back because they wanted a summer release for it so they could have summer numbers. And, 2 months does sound a whole lot better than 8. LOL Oh well.

I think it was Sony Imageworks, and they collaborated on the movie with some other vfx companies.

Well that's the best work Sony Imageworks has ever done by far. Their stuff usually looks awful.

Double Negative is also working on MOS -- and the reason they got involved is because Nolan used them for his last two Batman films and Inception. Moving Picture Company is also in the mix, and their range of work is very impressive.

High expectations can lead to great disappointments. MOS might turn out to be a decent, close to 2 hours long superhero flick with a mediocre script and good, but short action sequences (if the budget is really only 175 mil. then I wouldn't expect TOO MUCH) and slightly disappointing VFX (hey, WETA, DN and MPC are prone to messing it up too!), and not this grand, epic origin story with great scope and huge, long action sets that Im sure everyone here hopes it will be.

So thats my dose of party-pooping for today!

Yes, I wonder too. I do hope there are some more Kryptonians, though.

I don't' think that's Zod but Black Zero. Reminds me of Earth One.

I looked up the work on the dark knight, I had no clue that entire helicopter scene was CG. Great work.
