Default Ghost Rider Spin-off Soundtrack

I'm personally in favor of Ghost Rider doing for heavy metal what Luke Cage did for East Coast hip-hop. Assuming of course that Ghost Rider does get his own show and that it's on Netflix since a lot of these songs are too edgy for TV - even the ones which don't have profanity - simply due to satanic or violent lyrics which will be too much for ABC. These songs really define what Ghost Rider is about to me.

My suggestions for the soundtrack

White Zombie - Creature of the Wheel
Danzig - Devil's Plaything
Children of Bodom - Ghost Riders in the Sky
Behemoth - Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer
Rammstein - Fruer Frei
Emperor - With Strength I Burn
Mayhem - Cursed In Eternity
Anaal Nathrakh - More of Fire Than Blood
Zardonic - Raise Hell
Electric Wizard - Witchcult Today
Lamb of God - Remorse Is For The Dead
Deftones - Engine Number 9
Slayer - Born of Fire
Ministry - Jesus Built My Hodrod
Machine Head - I Am Hell
Gojira - Liquid Fire
Pig Destroyer - Book Burner
Strapping Young Lad - Consequences
Akercocke - Summon The Antichrist
The Red Chord - Lay The Tarp
Testament - Henchmen Ride
Megadeth - 44 Hours
AxCx - I Lit Your Baby On Fire
Dimmu Borgir - Spellbound (By The Devil)
Converge - Pheonix In Flames
Fear Factory - Slave Labor
Venom - Sons of Satan
Soilwork - Generation Speedkill
Cannibal Corpse - Sentenced To Burn
Deicide - Homage for Satan
Slipknot - The Heretic Anthem
The Haunted - Soul Fracture
Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
Susperia - Devil May Care
Darkthrone - To Walk The Infernal Fields
Cobalt - Arsonry
Arch Enemy - Burning Angel
Motley Crue - Shout At The Devil
Chimaira - The Age Of Hell
Melechesh - Sacred Geometry
Rage Against The Machine - Sleep now In The Fire
Rotting Christ - In Nomine Dei Nostri
Mastodon - March of the Fire Ants
Marduk - Baptism By Fire
Unearth - The Devil Has Risen
ICS Vortex - The Blackmobile
Type O Negative - Blood and Fire
Morbid Angel - Bleed For The Devil
Opeth - Demon of the Fall
Marilyn Manson - Burning Flag
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
Metallica - Motorbreath
Vader - Reborn In Flames
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants
Dark Funeral - 666 Voices Inside

and even though it isn't metal

Suicide - Ghost Rider

I'm a big Metal fan, but there's no way that Marvel would use obscure extreme metal tracks that 99.99% of their target audience would be put off by. Marilyn Manson...Motley Crue...some other stuff that people might know could work, but the rest, nah.

Besides, this would not be a show about Ghost Rider, it'd be a show about Robbie Reyes...and there is nothing about his tv character that implies that Metal is appropriate for him.

Are you sure that it would just be Robbie? I thought that based on Johnny's cameo, that we'd see some sort of team up between the two of them.

No offense, I'm not trying to bash what you're doing here, but I genuinely don't understand what the point is of a thread as speculative as this. We are assuming a Ghost Rider show is not only even an idea of something they might do but almost a certainty, assuming it would be on the specific platform of Netflix even though nothing indicates this, assuming which characters it would feature, assuming what tone it would have and based on all those assumptions we suggest songs for a soundtrack of licensed music, assuming they'd want to have that? Maybe we should start with the thread "Should there be a Ghost Rider spin-off?" and work from there.

Half of the threads on the Hype are about what is being done....the other half is about what people would like to see be done.

Well if there is a Ghost Rider spin-off, I'd like to see Johnny be introduced there instead of in the second half of AOS Season 4. Then make Johnny into Robbie's mentor when they meet in the first episode of the Ghost Rider series.

I want to see Johnny Blaze to be a former roadie working as a lighting technician for heavy metal bands before becoming a motorcycle stuntman. He has all sorts of crazy stories to tell which Robbie isn't impressed by and managed to meet most of the Marvel superheroes at some point or another. He casually mentions learning how to use his hellfire shotgun from a man named Orson who claimed to be over a hundred years old and said that he mostly did metal tours but one time worked a punk tour with a band from Las Vegas whose guitarist claims that he was one of the first people to ever see the Hulk transform and has an incredibly hot personal trainer as his wife. Robbie doesn't care much for Johnny's stories (except he's interested in hearing that Marlo Chandler is hot) until the final episode when he finally hears one that he likes.

Much of the humor has to come from Robbie genuinely not liking Johnny's music and not finding his stories all that interesting. Robbie's with Johnny to learn how to better control Zarathos and needs to randomly turn the music in the garage off when he enters. Then in the last episode, Robbie actually likes one of Johnny's stories where he talks about the time he met the Punisher.

Supporting characters would be Johnny's wife Roxanne Simpson and his cousin Jennifer Kale with Gabe Reyes returning and Cynthia Randolph as a reporter investigating the Ghost Rider phenomena.

The villains would be The Orb (Drake Shannon) and Mephisto. Drake intentionally injured Roxanne's father and left him dying in the hospital so Johnny sought out the Darkhold to summon Mephisto with and made a pact with him to save his father-in-law but at the cost of being bonded with Zarathos, a fallen angel of vengeance. Mephisto would be a villainous presence but would never be directly confronted since he's just too powerful. Orb would be the big bad as the man who's always evaded Johnny. Considering that he's been on the run from Johnny for years, he's reinvented himself as a powerful crime boss.

Johnny should seldom ever transform since he should have such control over his powers that he never needs to. He still manages to use his hellfire powers in other ways. Make him wear sunglasses most of the time like he did in the 90s.

How about no? Hollywood Undead isn't even metal. They're a rap group... and a bad one at that who I do not want to ever see on Luke Cage. I'd rather have songs like

Judas Priest - Freewheel Burning
KoRn - Wake Up Hate
Nile - Laying Fire Upon Apep
Pantera - By Demons Be Driven
Sepultura - Convicted In Life
The Berzerker - Burn the Evil
Samael - Baphomet's Throne
Soundgarden - Beyond the Wheel
Sigh - In Devil's Arms
Twisted Sister - Burn In Hell
Death - Evil Dead
Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country
Led Zeppelin - Trampled Underfoot
Motorhead - Go To Hell
Alice In Chains - Them Bones
Hour of Penance - The Holy Betrayal
In Flames - Episode 666
Suffocation - Jesus Wept
Black Sabbath - NIB
Belphegor - Possessed Burning Eyes
Mercyful Fate - Desecration of Souls
Dio - I Speed At Night
Gorgoroth - Possessed (By Satan)
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Napalm Death - Armageddon X7
Nevermore - Engines of Hate
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Deathspell Omega - Drink The Devil's Blood
Disturbed - Voices
WASP - Hellion
Stryper - To Hell With The Devil
Sentenced - Dead Moon Rising
God Forbid - Crucify Your Beliefs
In Solitude - Demons
Periphery - Motormouth
Krisiun - Combusion Inferno
Faith No More - Digging The Grave
Hypocrisy - Adjusting The Sun
Origin - Saligia
Kyuss - Demon Cleaner
Mesuggah - Soul Burn
Carcass - The Granulating Dark Satanic Mills
Electric Hellfire Club - Speed Demon
1349 - Riders of the Apocalypse
Gamma Ray - Heaven or Hell
Recently Vacated Graves - Zombie Conjuration

And if Marvel do decide to go with any of these songs, then one cameo that they need to have is Dave Mustaine. He's a massive Marvel fan and wrote Psychotron about Deathlok and Holy Wars (The Punishment Due) about Punisher. He also lives out in LA... which is where Ghost Rider takes place.

For Robbie Reyes? Hollywood Undead's Undead is perfect, IMO. It's about LA, gang violence, and it's hype. Your selection is great for the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider, and maybe also Danny Ketch versions.

I was hoping that Johnny Blaze would be the co-lead in Season 1 where he'd be the other Ghost Rider who'd be training Robbie. Make it Johnny's story told through Robbie's eyes. Something where Robbie learns from Johnny and helps Johnny settle an old score from the man who almost killed his father-in-law.

Season 3 is where Johnny gets swapped out for Dan Ketch with Robbie still a Ghost Rider.

I made a playlist. Dear Marvel and Netflix... if you're reading this, you're awesome.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...3-7fYif5p5SsSg

And to keep more effects shots in the series, do only 5-8 episodes per season, recoup costs with partnerships with Harley Davidson motorcycles and some heavy metal record label for the soundtrack to be released on (Candlelight, Metal Blade, Nuclear Blast or Relapse) along with a brand of hard liquor. Get some backers for this show who can really make it shine.

Also, if Ghost Rider has any sort of crossover, here's what should be played.

Iron Man: Black Sabbath - Iron Man
Punisher: Megadeth - Holy Wars... The Punishment Due
Thor: Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thiunder God
Deathlok: Megadeth - Psychotron
Captain America: Rick Derringer - I Am A Real American
Daredevil: Evanesense - Bring Me To Life
Blade: Darkthrone - Transylvanian Hunger
Moon Knight: Nile - Cast Down the Heretic
Luke Cage: Body Count - Black Hoodie
Iron Fist: Dim Mak - Spirit of the Dragon
Hulk: Slipknot - I Am Hated
Falcon: Iron Maiden - Aces High
Ant-Man: Judas Priest - Breaking The Law
Black Widow: In This Moment - Black Widow
Shang Chi: Chthonic - Blooming Blades
Captain Marvel: Mechina - Zoticus
Black Panther: Sepultura - Nomad
Winter Soldier: Bolt Thrower - Inside the Wire
Hawkeye: Doro - Poison Arrow
Colleen Wing: Shadow Warriors - Power of the Ninja Sword
Spider-Man: 90s Spider-Man theme (closest thing to come to mind since Spider-Man is the least metal superhero there is)

Couldn't think of anything for Misty Knight since she's even less metal than Spider-Man despite one of her arms being made of metal.

And if there's ever an excuse to do a crossover between Ghost Rider and the Warhammer 40K Universe (Stranger things have happened) then Anaal Nathrakh - Virus Bomb
