^^ I totally agree with this. I kinda hope they can wrap up the fish oil Inhuman storyline by the end of the season and focus on something different next season. I would love to see them explore characters like Yo-Yo and Deathlok a little more. An episode with Daredevil would be a big shot in the arm and bring in Fury for almost a semi-regular role.

I still say that Coulson should be retired (not killed, just permanently retired...what the heck...kill him) ASAP. There will never be a movie that takes the time to explain why he is still alive...so his presence is a stumbling block.

I'm also for a total rebranding of the show into a one season Secret Warriors event series. No cliffhanger ending...one and done. Screw syndication.

doesnt matter if it adjusts up or down....
even tho live viewers is whats keeps this show moving forward...
Its pretty obvious that the writing, and guest appearances need a boost aka shot in the arm...
give us an origin of a lower level hero like a moon knight or someone who can tie this episode to the movies....i think whats missing is the movie connection element and maybe Civil War will do that

Agents of SHIELD (ABC) 1.0/3 - 3.01
Remains consistent.....i dont think these numbers wont grow until they move completely past the inhumans phase and get to some other phase

This is probably old news, but I wanted to see if a season 4 would even grant syndicated episodes of AoS. I thought 100 episodes meant that. Well that wouldn't have been season 4 that would have been 12 episodes into season 5. I checked and they lowered the number down to 88 episodes. So the season finale of season 4 is the 88th episode.

Please tell me they are not going head to head with the NCIS finale and Michael Weatherly's last DiNozzo episode. Does the two hour AOS finale run from 9 to 11 or 8 to 10???

It's ratings suicide if it's 8 to 10.

Looking at my guide, it's starting at its the regular time of 9pm ET/8pm CT, so it looks like it's taking up the 2nd and 3rd hour of primetime, not the 1st and 2nd. It's not going head to head with the NCIS finale/DiNozzo's last episode.

Fractional ratings are the new norm now for this show.

Basically this means S4 will be the final season. These are terrible ratings.

Watch them move it to Fridays, like Star Trek Enterprise's final season.

Not surprised, however I'm a regular visitor of TVbythenumbers and that timeslot is like a killer timeslot. Of Kings and Prophets and Wicked City didn't finish their run in that timeslot during this 2015-2016 TV season. Though since the show is already a veteran show maybe it could get a full season? Maybe? We'll see.

If it goes to 10 then more people will have to dvr it and the ratings will drop even more. Networks have never known how to properly advertise or handle comic or sci-fi/fantasy shows.

The marketing in S1 was solid.

The problem was the show wasn't. So the marketing invited audiences to see how weak the show was.

The first half of s1 was abysmally dull and really killed this show's chances at having a solid fanbase.

Most shows get renewed for season 4 for syndication purposes, but I don't think a season 5 is very likely anymore, especially in that timeslot

I bet season 4 starts with a .8 and drops throughout the year.

its arguable that the 10pm time slot is to free up space for other programs and AoS is just shooting episodes for syndication purposes.

The last successful show to air in that time slot was Body of Proof which was cancelled the season before AoS premiered. Back then 7 million viewers and a 1.2 in the demo was reason enough to not be renewed. Since 2013 ABC has put up failure after failure into that slot, never surviving to a second season or even a whole season. Now AoS calls that hour home and its up against the anticipated This Is Us to start the season and then Chicago Fire on NBC and NCIS New Orleans on CBS.

ABC has 3 dramas and a limited series they can air in that slot starting in January or February if AoS fails.
