I'm actually looking forward to this, because it means they are definitely embracing the supernatural.
This ghostrider in particular is not the Zarthos demon... and can easily be re-written as an inhuman. sooo i wouldn't assume they're going supernatural unfortunately (unless they confirmed otherwise)

Adding Ghost Rider feels a bit like a desperation move for the show. I'm thinking there was much pleading and cajoling between Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Studios to get a "name" character on the show in what could very well be its final season and they were able to agree on the car driving version of GR. This keeps the motorcycle enthusiast available to show up in a Dr. Strange sequel.

Yeah, I read the spirit for this version is named Eli...
I thought about that, but doubt it because it would be repetitive, since you already had an inhuman displaying similar powers.
That, and AoS does try to follow themes that are present in the movies out at the time the season is rolling, so the Dr Strange release is perfect for them to tackle the supernatural. It just fits.

I personally see something like The Howling commandos of SHIELD being attempted at if anything else on AoS it's self. Otherwise I could see a Monster Legion on netflix

Then you parlay that into a Ghost RiderS series on Netflix, with Johnny, Danny, Robbie, Alejandra, and hell even Carter Slade cuz why not... throw in Blade and maybe a Dr Strange cameo and I'd be all over it

There are a lot of possibilities for Ghost Rider in the MCU if AoS adeptly handles the Robbie Reyes version of the character.

Willing to see where they go with it, but I can't imagine we will actually be able to see much of Ghost Rider in full form on a TV budget.

So apparently they seem to be open to the idea of classic Inhumans being introduced on AoS.

http://www.newsarama.com/30399-class...e-s-delay.html

I'm not too happy about this tbh.
*I don't want to see the Royal Family on a budget. And there is ALOT of non Royal family inhumans they can use.
*I'm also pretty tired of any Inhuman related storyline too.

That being said, if they do decide to use royal family characters, I think they should only use Karnak, or a Karnak-like equivalent. They have already introduced Agent Coulson and Simmons to Karnak in his current solo comic. They could pretty much do an adaption of his current story, which has Karnak helping the shield agents in tracking inhumans.

The article say this "classic inhuman", and there's several quote but in none of them we see them actually saying this.

And Feige said that during the comic con:

We’ve announced through 2019, we have ideas through 2021 – it sounds like the future but it’s not so far away – we’re determining what we’ll be doing then and certainly Inhumans will be a part of that.”

I'm open to ANY of the Royals on AoS. I agree, Karnak would be the best bet for tv without making him look like crap

13-episode straight-to-series

She could film that in between AoS seasons.

Do we have any confirmation of Palicki and Nick Blood returning? I always thought they could just fold the Most wanted episodes into AoS.

Mean while in New Mexico *Cuts to Bobbi and Hunter infiltrating a drug cartel*

Wishful thinking. That being said it would be a tragedy if they lost Bobbi and Hunter completely from Aos.

Marvel’s Cinematic Universe covers the big summer blockbusters as well as their offerings on Netflix and regular television. Speaking to SlashFilm, Marvel Television’s president Jeph Loeb threw some cold water on speculation that Daredevil or Jessica Jones might appear in one of the upcoming films.

The reason for why you won’t see characters from Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage or Agents of SHIELD in films like Avengers: Infinity War? It comes down to the differences in speed between film and television productions. "I can tell you that part of the challenge of doing this sort of thing is that the movies are planned out years in advance of what it is that we are doing," Loeb told SlashFilm. "Television moves at an incredible speed." He went on to say that it was often difficult to pull a lead character such as Luke Cage or Daredevil from their shows. "I need Mike [Colter] to be in a television show."

I don't think he's wrong about some of the difficulties, but they're certainly not insurmountable difficulties. All it takes is a willingness to work together to figure them out. When it comes to Netflix, it should be even easier because they have gaps between seasons.

that's the kicker though... Hellfire is very much tied into the Ghost Rider mythos.. from the legendary wild wild west one... they made him an inhuman in this interpretation.. but can we really have hellfire on the show and Ghost Rider and not connect them?

"Jason O’Mara (“Complications,” “The Good Wife”) has joined the series stepping into the role as S.H.I.E.L.D’s new Director, playing a character whose Marvel roots go back to the 1940s."

http://marvel.com/news/tv/26536/marv...s_new_director

Sooo...are we talking literally the 1940s, during the Timely Comics era? Perhaps a character that was associated with Captain America back then? Or are we talking stories that were set in the 40s, like Nick Fury & the Howling Commandos?

I cant see them doing that bc of the potential confusion that would cause. They got rid of him in the books to streamline things and comic book fans have more tolerance for this stuff. If anything, I can see this guy being based on elements from Nick without actually being him

Maybe they'll just create a new character named the Hoff.

Not gonna happen. Samuel L. Jackson's character is the MCU version of the original Nick Fury/Colonel Nicholas Joseph Fury.

Colonel Rick Stoner (the first executive director in the comics), G. W. Bridge (the fourth executive director in the comics), Capt. Jacob "Ski" Strzeszewski (the fifth executive director in the comics), they're all possible.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 Synopsis

Quote:
In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Little did they know that they were up against the deadliest threat they’ve ever faced – an extremely powerful Inhuman, Hive, who was transported back from Maveth in the body of their worst enemy, Grant Ward. The team was able to thwart and kill Hive and take down Hydra, but they are all still mourning the death of fellow agent and Inhuman, Lincoln Campbell.

In light of the Sokovia Accords, and with Hydra obliterated, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimatized again and no longer needs to operate in the shadows. Since the world presumes that Coulson is dead, the organization needed a new Director (Jason O’Mara) to be the face of the organization. Coulson finds himself back in the role as an agent and teamed with Mack (Henry Simmons), and together they are tasked with tracking down and confirming the presence of Enhanced people, aka Inhumans. They have been trying to track down and capture Daisy (Chloe Bennet), aka Quake, who has gone rogue in an attempt to atone for sins from the past. But with the world believing that Daisy is a dangerous outlaw who has taken down banks and bridges, the new Director has no qualms about taking her down for good. Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) is tasked with training specialist strike teams, and Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) have taken a big step forward in their relationship. But with Simmons’ new promotion as Special Advisor to the Director in Science and Technology, Fitz, as well as her former team members, finds it hard to confide in or trust her since she’s now the Director’s confidant.

Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) will roar into the lives of Agent Coulson and the team as a junkyard mechanic who can turn on a dime into the terrifying Ghost Rider. Will Robbie be a friend or foe to S.H.I.E.L.D. – as well as the world, itself? Meanwhile, Fitz discovers that socially awkward genius and friend Dr. Radcliffe (John Hannah) has started putting the finishing touches on a new, secret invention.
