I think there is less entertainment value with 3 set games. The most epic games I can remember are 5 setters. I'd probably watch men's tennis less if they went down to 3 sets. Although I think Serena might be even more dominant over 5 sets.

I'm not a big fan of 3 set finals for the men. I really wish they'd go back to having the Masters and Tour Finals have 5 set championship rounds. The women have always played three sets, that's just the name of the game for them

Can't decide if I'll be able to wake up and live blog the final tomorrow morning, or if I'll watch it on DVR. I'm gonna try to get up!

Yeah I didn't mind in the past but nowadays women are accomplished athletes and sportsmen in all sports. Them playing 3 sets seems like a sexist thing against them from the more traditional views that they are too dainty or something along those lines to do the same as the men, even though they match them in other sports.

Anyway just recently tuned in to the men's final. Fed 6-5 up and just on set point now!

Djokovic starts playing at another level to easily win the tiebreak and win the first set.

Djok is the better athlete now with Fed's age. I really want Fed to win but Djok is like a machine and if it goes to 5 sets he'll be the favourite.

Fed double faults to give Djokovic a set point.

Awesome tie-break. Novak had so many chances to win but Fed wasn't giving up. 1-1 now.

Djok takes the 3rd set and is a break up in the 4th. All the momentum with him now. Fed needs something special to stay in the match now.

Not too surprised with the end results. But the match would've been different if Fed won that 1st set. He would've been up 2-0 with pressure mounting on Djokovic. Could be a different match from what we saw. But again, not to take any credit away from Djokovic, congrats to him. Well deserved.

Also awesome to see Martina Hingis with her hands on some Wimbledon silver again.

Djokovic was just too good. He's like a brick wall and one of the best returners in the game. He makes you play that extra shot in rallies.

Gutted for Federer. I feel that was his best and last chance to win another Grand Slam.

Yeah, I know. It's funny, Roger probably deserved to win the first set, and Novak the second set. So that evened itself out. I felt Roger peaked with his second set win. But still, he's playing competitively and is still #2 in the world.

I'm not gutted for Federer even though he's my favourite. Djokovic deserved the win and Fed deserved the runner up spot (way ahead of everyone else). Fed has won more than enough in his career, doesn't need to pick up lucky wins when he's fully earned all those past titles. His legend has grown with his performances this year at this age and taking on a robot when you're approaching mid 30s is a tremendous task even when you're a serious GOAT contender.

The U.S. Open draw came out today, and I think Nadal has a pretty clear path to Djokovic, but then again, Nadal is so iffy. But if there was ever an opening for a run this morning would be it.

I don't see much getting in the way of Djokovic, Federer, and 2013 WIMBLEDON GENTLEMEN'S CHAMPION Andy Murray. The guys below just aren't good enough. The lost generations.

Dimitrov (despite his disintegration against Gasquet), Wawrinka and Kyrgios (if he isn't on acid) ought to be capable of causing upsets, though.
