Serena losing after everyone was already crowning her and giving her a victory parade is beyond awesome.

Yes!

I'm sorry i couldnt watch the match cause i'm at work, but i'm not a fan of overdramatic Serena. And i hear she was at it in this match, ugh.

All italian final. Who could have predicted this!? Now if only Cilic and Wawrinka would beat Vovak and Roger... now that would make it a heck of a surprisingly unexpected US Open lol.

I honestly can't stand her. She has horrible behavior on the court. Her dramatics make Rafa look humble.

I am a Fed fan, so I am hoping he wins it.

Dont remind me of your Rafa dislike. We were getting along so good with this Serena topic, and you had to go and ruin it

Nah, i hope Wawrinka beats his ass

I hope Wawrinka wins it all man. Guy deserves it.

If he goes Stanimal, then he's winning it all.

I know right?! I was expecting a bit better performance than this. He's spraying shots everywhere. No construction. He looks shot mentally after the second set, it showed.

Goran's looked resigned to his man losing since the first break point of the first set. I know Cilic has had a cack year but his whole approach tonight from the get go has been weird.

Serena Williams has my respect because she came from a tremendously talented era of women's tennis and has been the last one standing for about five years now. She has out bursts, but that's character in a game that increasingly has no personality. She was also pretty damn classy in defeat yesterday.

Djokovic and Federer better deliver tomorrow. All these comparisons between Federer and Agassi's run to the 2005 U.S. Open Final are reaching a bit. Agassi was shot as a tennis player and made the last great stand for American men's tennis that day and played a super prime Federer close. Federer today is clearly the number 2 player in the world and could continue for the foreseeable future. I guess each is remarkable its own way, but Agassi had no business in that final but made it anyway.

Djokovic is my pick. The guy has had some horrendous luck at the USO, whether it's choking or running into very hot players. I think Djokovic is taking this in four and I get the feeling that he will continue his dominance of the season into the fall indoor arenas. He'll complete this run unlike in 2011.

I think he's going to take the grand slam record off Roger. No one can compete with Novak at the moment, and I don't see anyone doing so for a long while.

Novak Djokovic (22 May 1987) : 11 Grand Slam singles titles
Rafael Nadal (3 June 1986) : 14 Grand Slam singles titles
Roger Federer (8 August 1981) : 17 Grand Slam singles titles

Considering the age, Nadal is still ahead of Djokovic, unless Djokovic ties the score this year, then he is more likely to beat Roger's record of 17.

I like all three of them a lot for different reasons. Federer is like the perfect, patient and good model tennis pro player. During his prime, he was too good that watching his game was kinda boring cos you already know who would win.

It was Nadal's appearance that had people question if he is the greatest tennis player of all. People wouldn't have questioned if Nadal didn't come. But still, Federer had the most number of Grand Slam titles so there's a basis why people consider him the greatest (including myself)

I like Nadal because he represented the curly-haired (me too), the left-handed people (me too) and the arrogant playstyle (not me ).

I like Djokovic because of his playstyle which is the most exciting to watch.

I like all those three players you mentioned above, but Nadal's playing style is really taxes him. If it wasn't for Novak's resurgence in 2011, I think Nadal would've easily been ahead by now given if he was playing healthy as well.

Not really. Nadal just doesn't have self-control/self-discipline. I think he doesn't practice enough , he doesn't sleep enough, and prolly keep on partying and doesn't take care of his body that he keeps on getting injured.

I mean she isn't exactly Lance Armstrong. The stuff she failed the drugs test on has been legal for most of the time she's been using it.

Yeah, people are reacting like she's some kind of doping fiend. Everyone keeps going on like she was taking horse steroids in a bid to dominate world tennis. The organizing body suddenly decided that in 2016 a drug she'd taken for several years was considered a PED and she didn't pay attention to the change.

It's arbitrary and the worst she can be accused of is being irresponsible and absent-minded. People going on a witch hunt should really calm down.

Exactly. She should be banned, but after she's served it that should be the end of the matter as far as I'm concerned. She won her slams fair and square, it doesn't really change anything.

She will be for at least 1 year.
