Posted a few of them upthread when they were released. They're mostly terrible so far, outside of maybe the Warriors and the Heat who look like "Team Miami Vice"

OKC looks like they need to change their black printer cartridge

The Knicks city jerseys look good also. Probably the only time a Knicks jersey was not run of the mill.

Here’s my question, are the people complaining about this real Indians/native Americans or just people that think they’re speaking on their behalf?

I liked the idea of the two tone helmets, but it should have been a gradual gradient instead of basically just black and gold.
I am 100% down with teal coming back though.

The Carolina Hurricanes may play games in throwback Hartford Whalers gear down the road

https://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2018/1/...nes-tom-dundon

Quote:
Tom Dundon has only been the new owner of the Carolina Hurricanes for a few weeks now, but he’s already making his presence known to fans. On Tuesday, Dundon appeared on ESPN 99.9 The Fan in Raleigh to talk shop about the team, and, in the process, gave Hurricanes fans a potential glimpse at future promotions.

According to Greg Wyshynski of ESPN, Dundon is open to using the Hartford Whalers logo and likeness to promote the team down the road. That includes merchandise and even playing games in throwback Whalers jerseys.

“I think we should have a store that sells that Whalers merchandise online and we should explore playing games in that jersey and selling that gear. It’s part of the legacy,” said Dundon. “And I just like cool stuff. If we don’t, it will mean something went wrong.”
The Whalers were an NHL club in Hartford, Connecticut from 1979 to 1997. The team is probably the most loved defunct team in league history, as their lettered logo that made a whale’s tail and their goal song — “Brass Bonanza” — remain iconic to hockey fans even today.

So I kind of get the move from a marketing standpoint, but I feel like this is kind of twisting the knife is Hartford's back at this point since they'd likely never get another NHL club.

Probably one of my favorite logos ever though.

Agreed. I would be insulted if the Jets wore Thrashers attire on the ice.

A lot of people seem to love that name at least.
I remember back when the UFL was a thing and they announced they were going to move the New York Sentinels to Hartford a lot of the people involved in the community really wanted the team to be called the Whalers. They ended up going with Hartford Colonials which I think was also pretty cool. The look was unique, for sure.
