You can Google search the same information or links.

The player poll goes with what I suggested that owners & players tend to prefer a team overwhelmingly in Quebec over any other location. My insertion, the owners are giving ample time & effort to Quebec, for an alternative investment group...otherwise, Seattle would have been awarded a team alongside Las Vegas. The intent was to expand by two...not one. So these links provide information, for those to judge for themselves.
I dont know how connected either the blogger (probably not) or the THN writer (likely more so) actually are to the internal machinations of the league but here's an article from literally this past Sunday, where Jeremy Jacobs, who owns the Bruins and is the Chairman of the NHL's Board of Governors basically comes out and says that QC is not in their expansion plans and that the league is eyeing up big markets like Seattle (and possibly Houston) for NHL expansion.

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/b...hl_s_point_man

Quote:
So with that, the good folks in Quebec City hopeful to land the next NHL franchise should take note. Jacobs does not see it coming to fruition.

“Quebec’s a great market and it has been for many years. But really when I think about it, I don’t see expansion going into the East,” Jacobs said, adding that the league is not in any current discussions with any prospective expansion group. “But that’s me, talking as Boston. I’m not talking as the league. The league may feel differently.”
Quote:
It may be no coincidence that Jacobs’ Sportservice Corporation has reportedly signed a concessions deal with the group proposing to renovate Seattle’s KeyArena, but Jacobs called Rain City, a couple of hours drive from the Canadian border, a “very interesting location.” But he also mentioned Houston as intriguing, as he has in the past.

“Those are two huge markets,” Jacobs said of Seattle and Houston.
Seattle didnt have it's **** together during the expansion courting process as they were still hung up in issues with the arena, and only having a potential NBA ownership group with interest. That has changed in the last year. See here:

I have seen similar articles touting Seattle & Houston...reason why I included those cities in my original post, detailing the 6 most referee locations. Look, we are saying virtually the same same thing, as far as Seattle is concern. I just think Seattle will be the #1 relocation site.

Houston is in the conversation, from what I read, because of its huge market & geography to Dallas(regional rivary that Dallas is said to be a on a rivary island).

I've read a number of primarily Canadian & East/NE/Great Lakes owners want more Canadian represented teams and are a little leary/leery about franchise in non-relationable hockey cities. They are clearly giving every opportunity & time, imo, to Quebec.

For a number of years now, rumors have existed about ownership moving out of Phoenix; and, their #1 location is the northwest, Seattle/Portland.

Well we did come back on you guys from being two goals down in the 3rd to get a point. And that was even after that abysmal call on Leddy in OT gave you a powerplay, and you still couldn't put us away.

You guys were just better in the skills competition.

Oh and please beat the stupid Rangers tonight. Thanks.

Well Friday the 13th was not good or accommodating to the Golden Knights of Las Vegas...as they suffer their 1st loss of the franchise & of the season, to the hands of a legendary franchise in the Red Wings of Detroit.

Right off the stick, Detroit drop the puck in the net in the first minute & a half of the game, thank to a whiff at the puck by the Knights Garrison, leading to a fast break by the Wings Nyquist. Detroit lead 1-0 after one.

The two teams went back-&-forth in the 2nd, with Vegas finally settling in, scoring 3 goals, in a combine 4 goal period. They went into the final period, leading 3-2 against the Wings...until the curse of the Mike Myers"Halloween Hockey Mask" appear in the form of a Red Wings 4 goals 3rd period blitz...handing the Knights their 1st defeat as a franchise, 6-3...a future trivial question.

Been a good run for the new franchise...the honeymoon is over. We shall see how the city & state dream season pan out. Their next game is again at home in the Nevada desert against the Sabres of Buffalo. The Vegas Golden Knights(VGK) will enter the game carrying a 3-1 record.

Rookie defensemen Will Butcher already has 8 assists in his first 5 games. He won the Hobey Baker Award and signed as a free agent. Impressive on the power play.

Knights are 4-1? Don’t they know a brand new franchise is supposed to be terrible at the beginning?

They're the first expansion team to start with a 3-win streak ever.

Of course, some of them had two wins and a tie in the first three games and according to the rules from 05 on, they could have won it on shootouts. However, Vegas didn't need the shootouts to win any of their first three games. Nice record.

James Neal has a team to call his own now.

Guys...I've got to be honest, I figured the VGK would be 4-5-1 9pts in 1st 10 games. They have already obliviated my expectation, posting a 6-1 12pts record through 7 games. Good for them. Sustainability will be key, if the rest of these league is to start taking this team seriously & not a novelty act that is anticipated to crash back to Earth.

I certainly didn't expect this team to win 6 games in their 1st 10 games; yet alone, in their 1st seven.

The VGK have had a helluva lengthy, home game stand with a game or two still remaining. The big test to their sustainability however, will come at the end of the month, when they will have just as lengthy road schedule to contend with.

We Shall See.....
