So Pym would be the scientist/inventor responsible for the technology, and Lang would be the hero? Is that the current theory? Not sure how I feel about that.

Pym spent far more time giant-sized than tiny-sized, and there's a good dichotomy there between him as the big guy and Wasp/Lang as the little guy or girl.

Only thing we got to go on is an interview with Wright from 2006, where he explains how he was planning to approach it at the time. It's been six years. There will be three more. We'll see what happens.

I hope Pym whatever identity Pym uses that he gets to use some of the gadgets from the comics as well as just his shrinking or growing powers.

Considering Wright has been talking about nanotechnology I could see that beeing one of Pyms fields of science as well as robotics and bio-chemistry.

Hrm. Maybe so. I kind of like the idea of Ant-Man as a legacy role, and of us eventually seeing many of the various shrinkers and growers in the MCU over the years, instead of constantly recasting Pym.

I can see why Pym would be useful in IM3 if he specializes in nanotechnology, since that's what Extremis is.

True. But with IM3 wrapping up filming soon, there has been nary a word about any "mystery casting" for someone who might play Hank Pym, so I strongly doubt he's in it.

Of course, nobody's really actually seen James Badge Dale on set yet, either....(stir the pot, stir the pot!)

I had a dream that Hank appeared at the end of IM3. I'm not stupid enough to believe that means anything however...

The released date news threw me for a loop. So directly following Avengers 2 we will see Ant-Man. Sure theres a good chance we see Hank Pym in Phase 2 but does this mean Ultron is out of the running?

behh... all this not knowing drives me crazy. Idk how you guys do it. :P

So do people think Wright will actually be able to meet the release date or will he try to squeeze in another movie or two in there before he next picks up the Ant-Man script to do some work?

Well Simon Pegg said on twitter Ant-Man is Edgar's next movie after he wraps up the worlds end.

The script is ready to go and they have filmed test footage with some special effects studios which was shown on the sizzle reel so I think he is ready to go.

I wonder where they are going to film Ant-Man.

Is Edgar going to be filming Ant-Man in Cleveland, North Carolina, New Mexico, the UK like previous and current Marvel studio films or a new location?

Yeah, but how long of a break after the World's End will he need to recover from filming? It might be his next movie, but if he takes an extended sabbatical of 10 years, he would still be technically correct but would again be holding everything up.

The film has an actual release date now, I really don't think he'll want or need to push it back. World's End is out next August, then he has an entire year to prep for filming Ant Man circa mid-2014 for a Nov 2015 realease.

Come off it, buddy. It's been a fun 7 years of agitating delay. Now is no longer the time to be all cynical.

In news that's probably news to exactly no one in this thread, examiner.com confirms that Ant-Man starts shooting in January:

http://www.examiner.com/article/marv...ry-2013-london

What I find interesting is that they've got a pic of Fillion under the headline, and they say that Fillion has been mentioned for the lead. Dunno what they're using for a source (probably this thread....), but yes, well....there it is.
