Batman {1989} is my second favorite superhero movie of all time. Superman: The Movie is my number one favorite superhero movie of all time. I still wish we could have got a World's Finest film with Christopher Reeve and Michael Keaton.

I can't see Keaton's Batman working well with anyone.

Superman wouldn't stand for his murdering ways, IMO. Reeve's Superman was too boyscout for those kind of strong arm tactics.

I can't really speak to Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, because I've only seen the pilot of that show, but yeah, I'm gonna agree, I can't see those three characters - or just Keaton's Batman and Reeve's Superman - working well together. But of course, that'd be the point, the conflict in that. More of an unholy alliance than a solid partnership.

I agree 100%. The versions are way too radically different. But Lynda Carter and Chris Reeve maybe. They both spawned in the 70's right?

Yeah, the Lynda Carter show ran from '75 to '79, I think.

After watching a scene from '89 Batman, I wish Joker hadn't died. We spent so much time with him, and they kill him off. It is me or do movies not believe in "recurring characters". Heck, Scarecrow was in every Nolan film. BTW, if Joker took off his pants he could've survived. Just saying. Eh, it was the Burtonverse, right?

Not really. The rope was tightly wrapped around his ankle, not attached to the pants

They should have introduced some gore. The Joker's leg could have been dismembered and lots of blood could have been squirted into Vicki's face. But that way the Harlequin of Hate would have survived.

Yeah Joker should not have died, but Joker dying also led to a heroic ending for Batman.
But if I had to choose, I would have preferred Joker maybe going to Arkham or something. Shame we never saw Harley Quinn.

I think Harley could've went well with Nicholson Joker. Too bad she didn't exist yet.

Honestly, Harley probably works better wth Nicholson's Joker than even comic or BTAS Joker.
Because at least Nicholson, Y'know, expressed some interest in the opposite sex.

I can't imagine this movie ending with Joker just being arrested or seeming to die and then disappearing. He needed to die. That's just because of the tone and style of the movie. It needed to end in a big, decisive way. And really, were we going to see him in the next movie or the one after that? I doubt it.

Riiiight, 1) that's not what I meant, I meant as a returning villain of significance, and 2) we were, but as a fear toxin-induced hallucination.
