I think POTA is actually kind of the perfect franchise for Giacchino. Alot of the music he did on LOST would fit perfectly into that environment. Not the emotional stuff, but more when the characters were exploring a new place, like Michael being taken to the fake camp for the Others and such.

Composer on the Marvel movies are so disposable. Image if each Star Wars film had different composers with different main themes.

Bite your tongue!

Still, more Giacchino is always amazing news.

I mean, he basically payed homage to John Barry's 007 music in The Incredibles, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did something similar with this film.

Same here, this has always bothered me with the Blade franchise, the Iron Man franchise and even more so the X-Men franchise. Its always so good seeing a sequel for the first time and hearing that familiar music.

I just dont see why a change of director must always mean a change of composer, or why more new composers on franchises have to replace the familiar themes of the previous movie. I know its a pride thing, but think of the fans.
