As for my little journey of obtaining 'my precious' Lumia 920, the AT&T store wasn't too crowded (mostly people buying SIII, Note II and iPhones), but the traffic was terrible. I went up to ask the sales rep if I could buy the 920 (off-contract $450), which is exactly (including taxes) what I was going to pay, only to be told it was actually $570. I asked her if it was a mistake and she looked at the tag and said it was clearly that price. So I looked it up on my phone (Galaxy S One) and AT&T had it online for $450. I showed it to her and she makes some adjustments only to tell me she can only go as low as $500. It wasn't until a long awkward pause that she tells me that this AT&T store was an independently own one, so all phones are more expensive than they would be at one that is owned by the company. So I decided to go buy one online instead.

I'm gate those "Authorized Retailers"! They always add their own crap to every sale. Cases, screen protectors, car chargers, etc.. All for inflated prices.

I read a article in Entrepreneur about GSMNation.com about cheaper rates for cell phone usage. Has anybody tried what GSM is offering?

Well, if you root, but still use the stock ROM as opposed to a custom one, then you should never delete them because some are actually tied into the OS. If your phone had to update and it wasn't there, you have the potential to brick your phone.

Yeah, always freeze bloatware instead of removing it. I rooted and purchased Titanium Backup Pro. Lets you eaily freeze apps, the freeze version you have to rename files and/or move them, I forget but when I read about it, I just figured I'd pay the $6.50 for convenience.

I don't buy apps, but TBP is essential if you root and worth every penny. Even though you can freeze apps with ICS and JB, TBP is still better, IMO.

I just went from an iPhone 4 to a Note 2 9 Thursday.

I'm still adjusting to the two-handedness of the Note, but my God is the screen size gorgeous. It's actually comfortable to read books or comics or just watch videos on my phone.

With a 4" screen all of that just comes off as irritating.

Had the Evo forever and despite it's heft, really loved it. It eventually started to really fall apart - crashes, freezes, buttons not working, etc but considering it fell from a 3rd story balcony and lived to tell the tale, that's not a complaint.

I made the move to the iPhone 5 - figured it'd make using itunes and my ipad easier as well as overall work-related synergy. I enjoy the phone, however miss certain features of the Evo. Unfortunately, after a little over two months, the ear piece no longer works during phone calls and I'm forced to use the Speaker which is insanely frustrating. Made an appointment to have it looked at tomorrow - hoping they'll just replace it then and there...

Must have been a faulty speaker.

Yeah there's a connection loose. If I press on the phone near the ear piece, it works.

Since the phone is new, it should be covered under the warranty. Don't let them even try to tell you that you need to go through insurance. You should be able to take it in the the store and swap it for hardware related issues.

It was on backorder for a while , but according to AT&T I should get it sometime this weekend . I decided to go for the matte black since I hate glossy finish with a passion (I'm so anal when it comes to fingerprints on my phone) .

Touchscreen will land you tons of fingerprints.

I always put a case on my phone no matter what, so the finish doesn't really bother me too much. I do like the matte finish better because of grip.

Honestly, I love Android.

Before my iPhone, I had one of the original Droids and - aside from its awful battery life - I really didn't have any complaints.

I love how Android took the ease and simplicity of IOS and gave it some of the versatility and open ended nature of most non-apple operating systems. I'm not at all a proponent of the whole Apple vs. Android war, but as great as IOS, I think I'll always prefer Android.

I have a question about Symbian, my friend is thinking of getting a Nokia 808, and I wanted to know what you guys think.

Going by some personal research it's kind of similar to Android, but doesn't have the app support.
