Thor #1 is apparently incredibly good according to other Marvel writers who've read it.

No surprise there, asides from his run on Incredible Hulk, pretty much everything Aaron puts out is excellent.

I don't know if I want to is anybody reading Hawkeye? I read the first one and it was brilliant, and the previews of Hawkeye #2 look great.

That is my problem, as well. It's like I like the IDEA of Hulk more than I do actually reading about the character.

Much like Superman, who I have also had trouble staying interested in for extended periods of time, I guess I enjoy Hulk more in event/team up settings.

even that direction is so confusing given the amount of times Marvel has ended his book, relaunched it, changed the name, gone back to old numbering, etc..... I find it hard to keep up with their solo heroes

For me, it's strange. I'd never call Hulk a favorite character of mine, yet...I love reading his books. It's like something's missing when I don't have his title in my pull list.

I read the British Collector's Editions. We already collect about 5, I can't afford another series.

Avengers Assemble, Astonishing X-Men, Mighty World of Marvel, Wolverine and Deadpool, Marvel Legends and occasionally Amazing Spiderman.
The only reading of the current Marvel Now I do is through the internet

I'm up to date with the Incredible Hulk comics. I only started reading from the previous storyline and it seems Hulk is really OTT with some of the characters he faced.

I had to give up on Aaron's run. It was kind of a cool concept at first, but after that Dillon issue...Jesus God.

Since I have asked about Marvel NOW recommendations, I know this is off topic, but is Aquaman as good as everyone is saying, and when would be a good jumping on point, without going back to #1 (although I do plan on getting the first trade)?

Personally, no, I don't think it is. It doesn't hold a candle to the various old Aquaman series. But if you've never read Aquaman before, you'd probably like it.

As for a jumping on point, #5 would be good, or after this current arc ends. I think #14?
