Justice League has been steadily improving each arc. Sex Luthor has been really good.

So if you enjoy Justice League: Origin, odds are you'll end up loving the series.

A lot more has changed in the New 52 than I had thought!

Lex is my favorite villain, so I'm happy to hear that.

I think that I'm all caught up on the bigger events in the New 52 universe. After Forever Evil, the only major event is Futures End, correct? I just want to see if I'm missing something in the DCU.

Haha! The Trinity should probably just give him control over the League now.

I'd like to see more of Lex down the line. I really enjoyed him in Action and Unchained too.

I'm kind of itching for info on the next major event. I'm kind of shorting the Superman Doomed crossover into about 5 issues, so I'm hoping to get lucky and grasp the whole story from them.

Ok,this is a strange one-I'm interested in Superman's "electric" powerset he had at some point (90s? Seems like a 90s thing). What titles should I look for, mainly when he switches powersets? Anyone know if they any trades out of this?

I actually have most of these from that period. Look for runs in early '96 to get the whole story there. It finishes late in '98. You can usually find those pretty cheap at this point because they're hard to get rid of for me.

Hi, I'm new to the forums. Hi everyone!

I want to get back into reading Batman. I'm very picky though. I've been told to read Scott Snyder's Batman.

I was thinking of buying the collected comics. Does the new DC confusing reboot thing for Batman begin with Year Zero or Court of Owls?

Where should I begin?

I read Court and City of Owls back-to-back. It was a fantastic experience since they're pretty much just one long story. The pace changes in Batman Volume 3.

Court of Owls extends from Issue #1-7 with City of Owls as the follow up from #8-11. Death of the Family follows issues #13-17 and Zero Year #21-33.

Zero Year is chronologically the new origin story for Batman, but it was released after Court of Owls and Death of the Family.

Got to back that up !

Court of Owls and City of Owls were my introduction to New 52 Batman,

fantastic reads !

Hey for classic reads, if anyone's looking for Legion of Super-Heroes,
there are collected volumes with "An Eye for an Eye" and "The Great Darkness Saga" which are unmissable LSH classic stories - great art, heavy drama and
an epic scale.

my issue with justice league right now is, the justice league is rarley in the justice league book. Its turned into a lex book with side appearances of batman superman and WW.

I just miss a good Justice league book that was about.......... the justice league. IMO the JL book should be called "whats going on in the greater DCU"

Sorry bro, getting off topic, but I managed to acquire (second-hand)
a copy of the collected " Return of Barry Allen " story from the
Flash (in the early 90's)

If you want to read a great Flash story, have a look, it's awesome
I can't say more without spoiling it, but it's a very enjoyable read,
and the less you know going in the better (other than that Barry Allen died
in 1985 saving the universe during the "Crisis on Infinite Earths"
storyline, which IMO was a million times better than Infinite
Crisis or Final crisis) .

Some other great storylines include:

Human Race

Emergency Stop

and not as good as the preceding but still not bad, Mercury Falling.

Flashpoint is great too.

Sorry I can't think of any great Cheetah stories - although Cheetah has some good moments in the "Justice" storyline.

Cheers.

Don't know if I should post this in the stupid questions thread but:

I've been looking for two particular comics (probably single issues of different Justice League runs) featuring Green Arrow.
I only know some scenes (from random scans found on google) and was wondering what the context of the stories was and where they fit continuity wise (based on release). As I have a big Green Arrow collection I was also trying to buy said issues just because this moments seem too good to miss out on them:

I'm talking about:
-an issue where GA fights Batman (probably Dick Grayson) to a stalemate
-an issue where GA tells an irritated Superman that he is drinking Bruce Wayne's liquor, while chilling

These are the above mentioned scans I know:

Deadman was a great character in Justice League Dark but that's new 52.
Spectre was a great small role in Kingdom Come

For The Spectre, Ostrander's entire run was gold. I'd highly recommend getting Crimes and Punishment.
