I REALLY expect a battle of the bands between Armisen and The Roots as a skit

Except an actual battle, where Armisen gets impaled on something.

I'll take that over Letterman who knows nothing about any of his guests and is an ass to most of them

This.

This is why I can't watch the Late Show.

That's the best part. If there's one thing about Fallon (and perhaps it's because he's only been doing this for five years), it's that he is genuinely enthused.

Cs Funny Re: The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

So far I am LOVING the new Fallon version of TTS the part with all the celebs coming on stage and dropping off a 100 dollars (Colbert's version had me on the floor). the history of hip hop dancing with Will Smith, but the barbershop quartet doing R Kelly song well I promptly lost it

The 100 dollar bet pay off:
VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

But why did they feel the need to bring Kim Kardashian out? She shouldn't have been used for Jay's farewell and should have been kept as far away as possible from the opening of Jimmy's hosting run. Probably one of the most useless and talentless celebrities around.

Fallon's Late Night was very close to the old Arsenio Hall show in that he was the one that got the younger guests. I hope Jimmy doesn't lose that cause Arsenio hasn't quite got it back. and it's more fun to have them with the bigger names.

Fallon's first few episodes have been fun... I thought the bit with Kristen Wiig as Harry Styles from One Direction was hilarious. I'm sure that it didn't go over as well with everyone, but the fact that she played it without a British accent & seemed to know absolutely nothing about the band just cracked me up.

My only gripe is that I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga's more recent offerings, so I felt that her performance was painfully long. It's a shame really, I enjoyed a lot of the material on her first couple albums because it was just straight-up solid pop music... her videos have always been weird, but her music has always been more accessible than 'Art Pop' seems to be trending. Oh well, I digress... glad Fallon is in this spot and hope he settles into a groove.

Williams reacts:

His reaction was no surprise, especially if you saw his recurring bit on 30 Rock.

Solid first week for Jimmy, and he's only getting started.

Jimmy made a Dune reference on his first show. He's my hero now.
