Currently I hope Rodriquez can somehow work it into schedule, and Ryan can somehow can at least give some input on the film and current state or situation of the film...

Ryan is still commited.

What have they done? I'm not familiar with the name and I'm too lazy to go to imdb.

AvP-R and Skyline. Two of the worst things ever produced by a human being.

two years after XO:Wolverine and this movie hasnt a director yet.

Im having serious doubts about this production.

It definetly seems that Fox doesnt have much confidence on this proyect.

I don't think "confidence" is the word you're looking for.

I think it's more of a "who can we hire that we can control, so that we bleed this out to get the most money out of it?"

I have my doudts rather this will ever be made. And plus having Ryan Reynolds assuming he Is available do It after playing deadpool In Wolverine Is bad Idea. When you reboot
you should not have the same actor.

Why shouldn't you? Reynolds is perfect for the role and judging by the script that lame fest Wolverine movie will not only be ignored, it will be made fun of. And rightly so. In the script the universe isn't the same one as the Wolverine movie. It shows that the X-Men do exist in the universe, but that's it. There is no connection to any of the actual movies.

But yea I have doubts about this movie seeing the light of day. The script Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick wrote, which is genius and groundbreaking, will not be made into a movie by the philistines at Fox. The only way it will happen is if the script is severely butchered.

I agree, if it's a reboot get a new actor. If it's not keep Ryan Reynolds.

If Deadpool Is made with Reynolds and Deadpool with First Class and The Wolverine
they just Ignore WOlverine and likely The Last Stand I can live with Reynolds back as Deadpool It's just on Princibal My feeling Is If you reboot better to have actors who weren't In the films you now want to say never happened. In The Wolverine even If you Ignore WOlverine and Last Stand Hugh jachman played Wolverine In X-Men and X2 so
It would still be approate for him to play Wolverine. It was stupid for after rebooting james Bond for Judi Dench to continue to play M.If Ghost Rider:Spirits of Vengence Isn't a sequel It Is crazy for Nicholas cage to play Ghost Rider again.

We were just shown recently what happens when you've got a good and dedicated director attached to a project like this (*cough*Aronofsky*cough*).

Fox doesn't like directors having their own vision for a project. You can pretty much guess what's going to happen to the great script that Reese and Wernick wrote in their hands...

There's no way they'll let an R script like that for a superhero movie get filmed...

Best thing about Deadpool is...he can pretty much have any origin the writers of that story think he should. He even states it.

We all know that fox is evil and money hungery, but I hope the movie gets made and if/when it does it might be the exeption to the rule.

Judi Dench did continue after the Bond reboot. And no, it wasn't stupid.

I don't see why they'd need a different actor for Deadpool. He had about 10 minutes screen time in Wolverine, was very popular, probably the only popular thing with audiences, so they should continue with him. The whole reason Deadpool got the green light in the first place was because of Ryan Reynolds being very popular in that movie.

Plus, he didn't really play Deadpool in that aberration of a movie...

That's weird, because Fox didn't seem to create problems the other times they worked with Aronofsky.

I actually meant the X-Men franchise.

It's a big money making machine and they're likely to want to shove it with cameos and keep it PG13 so that the kids all go see it.

As for Deadpool, the movie which will reintroduce Ryan Reynolds as the wise-cracking mercenary who was given such short shrift in Wolverine, Donner confessed that it would be "a total reboot. We're either going to pretend that didn't happen, or mock it, which he could do."

No director has yet hopped on board Deadpool, although the film has been offered to the likes of Robert Rodriguez in the past. "We're looking for a director, yes," said Donner who, mindful of Reynolds' ever-growing logjam of work, added that the film would shoot in the next year or so. "He’s very involved, Ryan. He’s working with the writers on the screenplay and it is as much as it is ours."

And Donner also confirmed that this would be the Deadpool of the comics, and not the mute mutant we saw in last time around, right down to Deadpool's scarred face. "I'm tellin' ya, it's true to the comic," she laughed. "You’ll see all of them. You’ll see Wade Wilson, the good-looking Ryan Reynolds! You’ll see Deadpool in his costume and you’ll see the cancer-scarred face."
