Between Comic-Con and Fantasia's "A Night with Bryan Singer," there should be plenty in the next 2-3 weeks. After that could be a bit of a waiting game, though.

And of course The Wolverine after credits, from what people are hinting at.

The first X-Men film is already 13 years old. It's not realistic to assume that the only way this can survive as a successful film franchise is to keep going back to the original trilogy. Nobody is going to want to do these movies forever, and audiences will tire of seeing sequels over and over.

The smartest thing to do is expand the universe. I think DOFP is meant to be the jumping-off point for that. It creates continuity in the film universe without shutting the door on what came before it, and expands it at the same time, giving it all kinds of ways to be successful without having to keep relying on the same formula.

As a fan, it's crazy to not want to see how this film universe can expand.

Before the X-Force announcement, I really didn't want to see anymore spin-offs, mainly because I assumed they would all be prequels stuck in the past without moving the story forward. But X-Force has me very excited, and I look forward to seeing where we go from here.

Cable could be the next wolverine in terms of popularity if they pick a good actor and write him well

I hope the line-ups of future films mix things up a bit. Different teams, different rosters.

Logan, Rogue, Storm, Gambit, Psylocke, Colossus.

Cyclops, Jean, Angel, Nightcrawler, etc etc.

So much potential.

Once they sign the lead cast of X-Force, they would have three casts on the same universe:

- Original trilogy cast
- First Class cast
- X-Force cast

So taking into account ALL the posisbilities with those three series, the better move would be to do sequels to each one, instead of smaller groups. Just add one or two new solo movies, and there you have a Huge plan for next decade.

Is the guy who played angel in X3 good enough actor for that? Or recast

his X3 role was nothing compared to what he is cappable of.

I was excited to have him on the franchise, but they gave him such a small role. what a waste.

But at least I always thought that could end being an amazing Archangel if Fox followed with the full cast.

Who knows, maybe Age of Apocalypse is closer than we may think.

I love the news of an X-Force movie! This is the right way to expand the universe. Just like in the comic world, X-character solo titles don't really do well because pretty much all of the characters were developed for a team book and had their histories filled in later. No one is really iconic... unlike many in the Avengers or JLA rosters. Team books have always been the way to go, and so that translates to movies as well.

I would go for a mix closer to the Uncanny X-Force comic. The original X-Force was such a 90s thing that played its course and wouldn't really warrant a movie, IMO. It's unfortunate that they didn't think of this earlier in DOFP's production... they could have added in a few characters that could've been spun out of it... like Archangel or Psylocke. Or like Apocalypse!!!

My roster would have to include Archangel, Psylocke, and Deadpool. I would also love the addition of Domino. All the characters need to be convincing as capable of doing things covertly and efficiently. Cable is such a complicated character, so I dunno.

X-Men has a lot of characters to work with but it doesn't mean they should release a spin-off movie just to do that. They just can do that in X-Men 5.

Anyway, there's a reason why most movie franchises aren't releasing spin-offs, its rare for a film series to release two spin-offs, what about more than that. With X-Force, Fox will be releasing X-Men's 4th or 5th spin-off and if you look at the franchise, the spin-offs didn't really help the series to become more successful and bigger.

Like I said, the audience already got a 8-year break from seeing sequels from the original series/cast over and over. I don't think people would get tired for seeing the cast for a new trilogy especially if the movie will be featuring new characters. With DOFP featuring the original cast, this might be their opportunity to release a couple of films with them.

No one got tired of Fast/Furious when the original cast came back for Fast/Furious 4 and that franchise actually gotten bigger when the original cast returned. I don't see no reason why X-Men couldn't achieve that too.

For me, I would rather see her in a X-Men movie with Rogue, Iceman, Storm than a X-Force movie.

But like I said in the other thread, if they aren't planning to use her in the future X-men team movies, I wouldn't mind if they include her in X-Force.

Possibly some secondary characters, but it would be nice if the leads of X-Force were in DOFP... and I don't mean Logan!
